Well, I hope to be recovered from my little stunt this weekend in time for V-ball next month ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif) If not I'll just have to be a spectator.
Once you guys get settled in, I'll try to sneak out of work & come down to the beach for a visit. I might even be able to make one of the MB dinners, but work and it being "my" week with my son will definitely complicate things.
------------------
nick
it's only time that heals the pain
and makes the sun come out again

Little stunt? Oh Nick, do tell.
Hope it isn't anything too serious. ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/frown.gif) Perhaps just a bad case of boy meets road and leaves the skin of his thigh as a token of his appreciation?

Nope, no road rash. I just rode 150 miles this weekend on legs that were only good for about 125 ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/frown.gif) I'm having a massive ITB issue this morning, but a couple zillion motrins and a couple of days off the saddle should restore the legs.
Besides, if I ever dumped my bike, the last thing in the world I'd be worried about would be how much skin I left on the pavement. I can heal, but scratching my new bike would be major trauma indeed ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif)
------------------
nick
it's only time that heals the pain
and makes the sun come out again

JJ, I'll think about that offer - at this point, I'm thinking $50/night is more than I can do for more than a few nights, anyhow. When is it that everyone will actually be there?
Nick ... Now, don't you remember that at the end of last summer I was a passenger on my husband's sport bike for a trip from upstate NY to Long Island? And back? In the same day? 300 miles round trip! I survived - and was walking again less than 2 days later... ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/wink.gif) You can't be older than me ... can you?
BTW, the reason your last serve didn't get returned is because it flew a zillion miles an hour ... OUT OF BOUNDS!!!
Power is only a plus when it's controlled.
![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/wink.gif)
------------------
terri
Courage
Whatever course you decide upon,
there is always someone to tell you
that you are wrong.
There are always difficulties arising
which tempt you to believe that your
critics are right.
To map out a course of action
and follow it to an end
requires courage.
Ralph Waldo Emerson
[This message has been edited by terri (edited May 22, 2001).]

oops! Well, someone mentioned road rash, which I always associate with the "other" kind of bike...
I gotta give you loads of credit - I don't think I could bike a whole mile these days!
JJ, I'll have to see what kinda money I have and what airfares are. It's too far for me to drive by myself - 10 hours or more - plus, I'm not all that sure my car would care for the trip!

------------------
terri
Courage
Whatever course you decide upon,
there is always someone to tell you
that you are wrong.
There are always difficulties arising
which tempt you to believe that your
critics are right.
To map out a course of action
and follow it to an end
requires courage.
Ralph Waldo Emerson

We can get you a cane with the cute little seat on it, for those tired legs on ya!
Terri that would be cool.
Not to sure of the drive myself but, I'm determined!!!!!! ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif) :
girls 14 boy 4
Wishing us all well
.........JJ.........
[This message has been edited by JJ71197 (edited May 23, 2001).]

You know, it's kind of difficult covering the court all by myself. Especially outnumbered like I am ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif)
So since it looks like my wingman had to bingo back to the boat, I guess I'm going to have to find another teammate, just to keep things fair. Any takers?
------------------
nick
it's only time that heals the pain
and makes the sun come out again
