Geez, I go away for a weekend, and I return to this? [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] :

quote:
Originally posted by confusedin MI:
Why should marriage be nothing but work? Right...<sigh>
I do find this thread fascinating, because it helps me see firsthand that there IS a fog, which amazingly allows otherwise-intelligent people to say the most interesting things to justify their actions. Truly amazing...
AGG
[This message has been edited by AGoodGuy (edited April 23, 2001).]

Well... all I can say at this point is that (again) I am sorry that my situation has caused anyone to *validate* leaving their marriage.
I have written across these boards that I will always carry a love for my ex, and that is true. I have written that five affairs about capped it for me. True again. I have written that I made a huge mistake in having an affair myself. Blech, and true. And I got involved with someone else, as my marriage ended, which can be seen as an affair or not, depending on your POV... and both sides are true. And regardless of any of it, I hurt people I love. True.
To say I'm sorry seems redundant and silly at this point.
I truly do hope that confused uses something a bit more substantial on which to hang his marriage (and, in fact, his life). I am truly a weak person who has made way more mistakes than I care to admit -- but admit them I do -- on a public forum --- hoping against hope to help SOMEONE, ANYone....
------------------
~Sheryl
(a bit worse for the wear, but hanging in there)
Life is difficult.
The Road Less Traveled
~M.
