Kim,
I always wanted a sister!!! [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
Funny how you can connect with a child in the family. I look back now, and I can see my H had issues with our oldest (boy), because he is so like me. But of course, because he is like me, I connect with him. H seemed to resent that. I hate that!!! Especially when the exact same thing happened in his own family. His mum favoured him because dad was distant. Our son has some astounding qualties, I am a teacher, so I don't say this lightly....that child is so intelligent and has many gifted areas....but because they weren't of a physical nature, H just couldn't see it.
I guess he was modelling his own dad's behaviour....his dad favoured the three daughters, and not him....we have two daughters and to H they are god's gifts. He is always finding fault with our son. So in some ways I'm glad he doesn't have that negative influence on our son now he's not around so much.
My son is my strength and my wisdom. He is astute to my favour, and to my h's detriment. He has been badly hurt by this, and he has said a lot of negative things about his dad especially since the incident last Sunday. I hate that a little boy has to go through so much pain because of a selfish adult.
BTW I SHOULD go to bed, but I'm not...it's comforting being here!!!
And this is Friday night after all....my kids will be considerate in the morning....how else will they eat all the yummy's without mummy knowing???? It was August 1, 2001. If you go to search and type in "What do you do to give yourself a lift?" in subject, and Nina too in the poster bit you'll get right to it.
I hope it helps!!!
