where is everyone? Cinderella, Jester, Fair Maiden? Detective Laughalot is getting some beauty rest. Hmmmmm????
Guess I am alone, oh well...back to the store. Need bathroom supplies. Wow, I love my room in this new castle.
Where is that darn castle credit card? Here it is!(((((Charge!!!))))) Hello? Is anyone in the castle today?
Wow, alone for two days now? It's getting lonely around here. Where is everyone?
<Tink flies to the window, a calm has settled over the kingdom. She places a small amount of fairy dust in her palm and gently blows it out the window, whispering "Jester, Princess, fair maiden, Dt. laughalot, come home.....">

Wow!! That was powerful fairy dust. It's great to be here!!! So, how has everything and everyone been?
I usually don't work on Wednesdays and I was home with ailing child Thursday so I haven't been able to be around.
Yes to candles. Yes to new clothes. And Tink, while you have the castle credit card, be aware that your personal expenses are not to be put on there. You will have to complete the paperwork and show your receipt. They keep strict rules on charging things around here.
Now, about those violet crumbles. The only store locally that used to carry them does not do so now. And the recipe got zapped when the did that voodoo stuff on the site.
So I need the recipe again.
And about the jilleroo costume, I couldn't get that site to open so I still can't find a photo of either a jilleroo or a jackeroo.
And the job search is yielding absolutely abysmal results. Seems that taking 10 years to stay home with your childre is a good, no a highly excellent and effective, way to trainwreck a profeesional career. So I can't even get an entry level job in human resources.
And one of my cats has wandered away. I have no idea where she might be. S and I are crying a bit about that. It's not a good thing.
I think I need a visit from the Jester. He's pretty good at making us all laugh.
Or maybe I need to go on another diplomatic mission. At anyrate, I shall be seing the diplomat from the far kingdom in five weeks. I suppose I should start now planning the discussions. I will need to arrange for food, accomodations, entertainment, meeting facilities, agendae, security, and all those things. Where is the Lady-In-Waiting? Perhaps she should handle some of those tasks?

Princess I do promise to expense all my purchases and reimburse the castle accordingly.
But I bought you a gift, does that count as my personal expense? Here I wrapped it up nicely see. It was very hard to get these imported chocolates, but I found this little store and oh, they looked so good!
Well here you go, now that I have spoiled the surprise. Cheer up, have a creamy Carmel. It always works!

Oh, this is so good.
((((((((((((((((Tink!))))))))))))))))))
The princess is having an unhappy month. I think the chocolates can go on the castle account.

Jester is having a leave of absence for a while due to unforeseen circumstances
Detective Laughalott is busy investigating the royal net searching for a photo of a jillaroo, and the violet crumble recipe....as well as purchasing some purple slippers to go with purple sequined low cut dress......I will call myself a violet crumble if it is going to be a fancy dress party! Princess,
After much investigation, I have come up with the recipe for violet crumbles again! Please immediately file it...I had a hard time finding it!
Chocolate Covered Honeycomb

1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup dark corn syrup
1 tablespoon white vinegar
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon baking soda
2 cups (12-ounces) semisweet chocolate chips
1 tablespoon vegetable shortening
Line bottom and sides a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan with lightly buttered aluminum foil. Set aside.
Combine combine the brown sugar, sugar, corn syrup, vinegar and butter in a large, heavy cooking pot. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until sugar dissolves. Continue cooking syrup, without stirring, to 300*F (150*C) on a candy thermometer, about 15 minutes. (A small amount of syrup will separate into brittle threads when dropped into cold water.)
Remove from heat and stir in baking soda, mixing well. Mixture will foam up. Quickly pour into prepared pan. Allow to set at room temperature until firm. Invert pan and peel off foil. Break into pieces.
Melt chocolate and shortening in double boiler over simmering water; dip candy pieces in chocolate. Place on waxed paper-lined baking sheets and allow to dry at room temperature. Store tightly covered at room temperature.
Makes about 2 1/2 pounds candy.
As for the jillaroo thing....this is another site:
www.outbackmag.com.au/people/jessop.html
Now, I found a beautiful pair of purple slippers with gold tassels and little bells that ring with every step!!! They don't go well with my detective's uniform though .
I love the idea of a halloween ball!!!
BTW Cinders, did you know you can change the title of this thread by editing? We couldn't do that before....now we could have a really appropriate name for our ramblings here in the kingdom!
[ October 21, 2001: Message edited by: Nina too ]

Good morning all!
The recipe is printed out, shared with a friend, and saved to both my hard drive and a diskette.
Detective, get the shoes if they fit both on your feet and in your budget. And don't worry about your detective disquise. Come as a Violet Crumble and be happy. And feel sexy in your new shoes.
I'v gotten used to the title of this thread and hate to change in - sort of. Besides, if we mad it too exciting sounding, everyone on the whole board might come and then I wouldn't be able to remember who is who. But I had no idea we could now change the title of a thread. How did you figure that out?

Good Morning Y'all,
I missed everyone while I was away. I'm still going to be in and out for a while. My duties outside the castle are overwhelming and add that the Jester is currently relocating his residence and he has no time....
PS. No kart-wheels today, threw the old back out moving, trick knee acting up, I'm much to young to feel this damn old.
