Nina too -- I am confused, I think. I can get free consultations. . . but they all end up the same way. . . . We can do such and such as soon as you give me $XXXX dollars.
Anna2000 -- OK, now I am confused. I know I am tired, but did I miss something??

If you make enough money to make payments to a lawyer, I'm surprised you can't get a loan for this.
Take care,
ANNA

ES,
I cannot understand why someone won't work out a payment plan with you if you can afford it.....here's another suggestion, you may not like it.......
Go to the bank and get a loan for the upfront fees. You should be able to do that if you have a good income. Sure you pay interest, but well spent if it means you get to see your D.

Nina too & Anna2000 -- Thank you both for your replies. I've had a migraine coming on for the past few days. I'm sure it is primarily stress related, but all I could do was hope it would go away. . . It didn't. I ended up staying home from work today, and am going to see the doctor this afternoon. I guess I will need to tell him everything that is happening and see what he can suggest medically to help with all of this garbage.
As far as getting a loan for a lawyer is concerned . . . no one seems interested in helping out a father who is being taken to the cleaners. the lawyers have flatly refused to work with me on payments, until AFTER they get their retainer fee. Banks won't talk to me, because I have nothing that I can use as collateral for a loan. By only real hope right now is taxes, but that is assuming that my W does not do what she did the first time she left and claim my daughter so that I couldn't. It cost me over $1000 that time because of her doing that.
I just don't understand why my W has to make this so painful for everyone.
