I quite agree with your sentiments.
It is our society that is also so non judgemental and politically correct that few want to take responsibility and state that hedonistic, materialistic excess and the ME needs to be put on the back burner, especailly when a family (an I am not here to define who comprises a family)<p>Once children come into the picture in any family unit, then parents need to protect their children from the hurts of the outside world, and teach them how to cope in our emotioanlly superficial society, where commitments are worth nothing, honesty and integrity is traded for favours and self pleasure.<p>Who would have ever prophesized that my children needed to be protected from the hurts inflicted by their father's new life choices.
