Sheryl,
Nature is what my g/f does. She is the "resident expert" on eco-tourism. She started a new job that is trying to set up cooperation between all the counties in OH bordering Lake Erie so that someone visiting one Lake spot can find out about other interesting along Lake Erie. Currently each county does their own thing,
Tom,
Was that for Miller Boat Line? My g/f did a lot of work with Put-in-Bay and Miller Boats was one of the ferry lines. I can't remember that other. She is friends with the owner's daughter and one of the principals was her boss.
I like the body guard thing. I can put all that martial arts training to use that I took 10 yrs ago.
[ April 25, 2002: Message edited by: RWD ]

OK, this thread has definitely taken a turn for the better!
Bob, I think I was also in Toronto about 6 years ago, so we may have seen the same run of Phantom. Small world, huh?
Sheryl, yes, I did know that you were from CA. You seem to be enjoying our sister country Canada, eh???
Oh, Bob, I also went to that castle in Toronto - worth a trip to see. What I also enjoyed was Niagra on the Lake, which is an hour or so from Toronto, I think. I had afternoon tea in the inn there - something like the Prince Edward Inn, but maybe that isn't it at all. Canadians, feel free to chime in and correct me, here.
Desiree

Oh gosh YEAH - Niagara on the Lake is Heaven on earth!!
Just plain ol' Niagara is totally neato, and that's where my H and I went on our Honeymoon, so I'm a bit biased!!
Bob, your GF's job sounds sooooo totally cool.
I ***still*** am not working (immigration, ugh!) and I'm so jealous of anyone with a job (even at McDonald's - how desperate is THAT? LOL), let alone a really neato job.
I haven't been to that castle yet... sounds wonderful. There is SO MUCH to see, really. I could go on and on... and yes, Desiree, it takes a bit of getting used to (humidity-wise, especially), but it is LOVELY!!

Well, well....did not know so many had been to my hometown.
We have more than phantoms and castles here!
1)4 seasons in 3 days last week!
2)BLueJays, Raptors and the Maple Leafs for sports fans
3)The greatest ethnic mix in the world, it is claimed
4)Lots of strikes (other than in baseball)
5)A mayor who is nuts!
But, seriously folks, this is a great place to live and visit, despite the fact that WH and OW live here as well!
Bob, I did e-mail you.....

willbok,
Oh, I forgot to mention that Toronto is where I first learned about curling. Being from the deep south, I had never heard or seen this before. I saw it on TV in a Toronto pub, and was mesmerized. It reminded me of shuffleboard of ice!
Bob, you are going to get the first-class list of things to do from willbok, lucky guy!
Desiree

curling... snicker, snicker... and I can't believe I'm beginning to ENJOY it!!!!!!
I remember the first time I saw it I laughed and laughed at those little brooms! Then my H told me that you DO NOT LAUGH at this sport, and how it's a beloved national pastime as popular as HOCKEY!!!
Let's just say I don't laugh, at least not in front of him, anymore.
Still though, those brooms...
Hey, there's a movie up here with Leslie Neilson and that cutie Due South guy (Paul Gross) called, 'Men with Brooms' that looks like a hoot. Can you guess what it's about???
