Everhopeful,<BR>You make a good point. When my H and I first got together, he was not only much younger, but also had just come here from another country, and didn't speak English. That really put us moreso into "mother-son" roles. I'm the controlling type to begin with, so I quite enjoyed it. But in the past several years he's become fluent in English, very successful at work, a marvelous father, etc. etc.--so I've worked to "let go" more and more.
