just wanted to add my congratulations to the list. You certainly deserve it and it's a great sign that your kids approve!
You're doing better than me because, as your S said, at least you waited until the divorce was final. I'm also dating a very nice man, but I also am taking it r e a l l y slow because, well, to be honest, I'm scared to death. I don't trust easily after being lied to shamelessly for 20 years. The difference is that this is a guy I probably wouldn't have dated before. I have to admit, I went for the exciting (read, alcoholic) types.
Nothing is perfect, love is a leap of faith. Let's hope we've learned something about healthier relationships after all our months on this site!

Sorry Jacky, I just had to add my story
I'M DATING TOO
I got home last night and the strawberry blonde showed up at my door wanting to go for a walk. So we went for a walk and talked and talked. Anyway, I'm so out of the dating scene that I didn't know what else to do.
So we go into the house. I mixed a drink for myself and got her some water and turned on a movie. I sat on the couch for a while and then got kinda tired so I laid down. As soon as I laid down she got on the couch with me. The next thing I know she's kissing me all over and I've got my hands all over her chest. WOW!!!
This went on for a while then I just had to put a stop to it before things got out of hand. So I gave her a toy and went to bed. She tried to snuggle all night. Then when I woke up this morning she was still there. I told ehr to get out of my bed. Heck then I was shaving after my shower and she walked into the bathroom without even knocking. Well I set her straight after that.
Anyway I think it's true love. She's the nicest gal I've ever met. There is one problem. She walks on all fours and tends to lick herself a lot.
