Ok Pat I found it and I want to share it with you, so that you will go get the form and fill it out and get the child support that is owed to your children.

It is form DD FORM 2293, Jan 2002 that is at the bottom left side. The title is "APPLICATION FOR FORMER SPOUSE PAYMENTS FROM RETIRED PAY" Item #3 REQUEST STATEMENT. States "I request from the retire pay of the above named Uniformed Service member based on enclose court order. I request payment of: (1) Child support in the amount of $________________per month."

You or your lawyer should of filled one of these out to get your 1/2 of his retirement pay.

PAT GO GET THIS FORM FILL IT OUT AND GET WHAT IS DUE TO YOU AND THE KIDS!!!! It's there for you to use!!!

Anyways, wanted to share and push you a little bit!

Take care, email if you want or need notinssd2001@msn.com

Thanks Dawn,

I will go tomorrow and get that form. Why do you suppose DFS told me not to go that way...I did ask them.

Anyway, I will leave work early tomorrow and go get that form.

Thanks so much....Pat

(I am really starting to panice because my house payment is late as of the 15th.)

Dear Texasgirl,

It would be hard to uproot this family right now. We are all pretty settled in here with friends, a job and support network. It would be hard on the kids to move right now. It would be hard on me to leave now. I have one who is a senior and my two little ones have lived here their whole lives. My oldest daughter is only 2 hours away also.

I know I could earn more elsewhere, but, I think we would pay a big price emotionally. Maybe in a few years.

I used to teach high school in Albuquerque 23 years ago and it was hard teaching special needs kids there even then. Though my job is stressful here, at least I am not dealing with big city school problems. It is a pretty safe environment here for the kids to grow up in. Pretty much mid-west values which I like. Houston is pretty hot too Don't know if I could handle the traffic, heat and humidity. Pat

Dear Texasgirl,

Forgot to add that I make about $31,000 here with 7 years of experience that they would count in this state. Not the greatest salary--but the working conditions are pretty nice. Pat

Sorry been away for awhile.
Wouldn't want you to uproot your family, your support network si very important at this time I know.
It was just a thought if you wanted to start over without memories of bad times, and possibly make more money.

How are things going now? Please post update.
would like to know things have improved for you.

Hi Pat,

I found a quicker solution to this dilemma when it happened to me for a couple of months during my X's engagement.

I TOLD HIS PARENTS HE WASN'T PAYING UP!!!!

They were absolutely MORTIFIED and ashamed, and at the very next opportunity got on his back.....he paid up and has done so since (though not quite as much as he was paying).

If your X is still as much the same as mine, it might be worth a shot.

Grammies HATE the thought of their grandkids going hungry.

Love and light,

Jacky

Hey Jacky,

Thanks for the advice...I did email her last month. No response tho...

I am going to write her this month again tho--just to let her know that he is 3 months behind in child support. I may send it to all his brothers too--maybe they will bring it up at his wedding in Florida next week.

This whole mess is so sick and sad. I really hate this...and I hate him...I really do. I wish he would just leave us alone. He wanted to do this so bad...and now he is unhappy with what he has. What a jerk...I have no sympathy whatsoever for him anymore. I hope they arrest him right before his wedding for nonsupport--wouldn't that be something. Sorry if I sound bitter---but I would love nothing better than to have him totally out of my life. I am sick of him and his games with me and the kids. It is really gross.

He is truely a sick individual. Oh well--I wish this would end tho. Take care...Pat
