There literally are not words to express how happy I am. (Lady's name) as you know doubt know by now, I've been through tons with (fella's name)--crying over IG, walks and praying, his beautiful beautiful girls, what a good dad he is, the "minister" years, temptations by the single women of his small hometown (it's like a soap opera--I swear!), a car crash that pretty much stopped my heart, and when he hit bottom and realized he needed AA. That's one good friend! So ma'am, it's not without much love and happiness that I say this: I am so heart-burstingly happy that you two found each other. It brings tears to my eyes to think that out of sorrow, you two have found true joy, companionship, love, and partnership.
Seriously, I hope you both know that the short-legged one in the wild west loves ya and wishes ya the best.

You guys are all so sweet. It's so great to share joy as well as the pain. LH is actually in flight back to the land of Oz as I type , but I know he will appreciate all the congrats and well-wishes.
Robby - that was sweet, thank you.
CJ - Wow, I know, I am amazed too by it all. There are times I just cry, out of gratitude to God for bringing him through all of those trials. That he is alive us a miracle, and on top of it to be the incredible man he is.... I am glad that he had you to help him through some of those times. Thank you!! I can't wait to meet you.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
To both of you. This is such wonderful news.
Faith, I have never seen you here before..just LH. I take it you live in the Tampa area? Will be spending some time there in March. I am actually making a trip down there to "meet" my fiance's sister.
Actually, she met me a long time ago when I was younger, she remembers me but as she is 14 years my senior, I dont remember her. So, it is actually a first time meeting as I was only about 10 when she met me before.
God had my long ago sweetheart and me put back together this past summer, but no wedding date for us yet.
keep us posted of all the details. SMILES, Dawn

A very heart-felt congratulations to you, Bill and...uh...faith. I would like to say that you give hope to the rest of us, but that might not sound quite right, given that "hope" is the bride-to-be's middle name (sort of). In fact, I suppose it would be fair to say that faithhopelove can no longer be considered appropriate for anyone else to pursue.
Seriously, though, I am not one who believes that love will always find you just because you are capable of giving and receiving it. It's a blessing from God, who gives liberally but in a manner of His own choosing. I'm delighted that He chose this blessing for you.

Billy, my dear Billy....
since the day I heard this song I knew in my heart it was for you and your new love.... You've been my best friend now for going on 3 years and my heart overflows with joy for you.
FHL04, take good care of him... he is very special...
Bless The Broken Road by Rascal Flatts
Lyrics
I set out on a narrow way many years ago Hoping I would find true love along the broken road But I got lost a time or two Wiped my brow and kept pushing through I couldn't see how every sign pointed straight to you
Chorus: Every long lost dream led me to where you are Others who broke my heart they were like northern stars Pointing me on my way into your loving arms This much I know is true That God blessed the broken road That led me straight to you
I think about the years I spent just passing through I'd like to have the time I lost and give it back to you But you just smile and take my hand You've been there you understand It's all part of a grander plan that is coming true
Chorus: Every long lost dream led me to where you are Others who broke my heart they were like northern stars Pointing me on my way into your loving arms This much I know is true That God blessed the broken road That led me straight to you
Now I’m just rollin’ home into my lover's arms This much I know is true That God blessed the broken road that led me straight to you
I love you my dear friend and I'm sure I'll love your new wife too.. Can't wait to meet her and see you again!
Your SC buddy!

((Still)) ((JL)) ((Resilient)) ((cyllanlisa)) ((robby)) ((sunrise)) ((Justin)) Thank y’all. I tell you what, the outpouring of love received here has really increased the smile on my face.
((Peachy)) First off, thank you and I will get you the 411 on the day. Right now I’m swamped at work and it may be 1st of the week before I can breath. I’ve only told my 15 y.o. so far and she is PUMPED. Actually she’s been in on the “event†for quite a while. She even helped me pick out my 1st choice for rings, which I changed at the 11th hour. But I will inform all of them this weekend.
((XPButtercup)) HOLD ON NOW….. That date actually holds a lot of significance in my life and yes it’s been tossed around but I ain’t exactly sure yet. There are a ton of details that have to be ironed out.
((Rags)) That’s twine dear, not string, it’s the worlds largest ball of TWINE and no we can’t get married there got to leave some place open for the honeymoon.
((CJ)) Thank you and I love you babe….. ‘nuff said..
((Gnome)) WOW… Thanks man. As always your words penetrate deeply. For a long time I had the capacity to give but couldn’t get that receiving part down. Through the events of the past year or so my humbleness level has sky rocketed and I’ve realized that through Christ I am worthy of the blessings.
((PP)) My buddy!!! It’s funny because that’s one of Faith and I’s “songsâ€. Dear you are a true friend and your thoughts and prayers have carried me through days I couldn’t stand alone. Thank you.

For those of you who want to know here are a couple details of February 15th but let me start with my DISCLAIMER: Honey, if you’re reading you know I have a bad memory sometimes.
I went down to Florida with the option and not the plan to ask for her hand. I did know that I was not going to ask on Valentine’s day (I know y’all think that would have been sweet and all but that’s actually her 1st marriage date). I went down on the 10th and was in heaven through V-Day. When I awoke on the 15th I realized that if I were going to do this even half way properly that this was the day. The anticipation and stress were apparent in our interactions throughout the day.
Anywho that evening we went out to eat at a little restaurant right off of Siesta Key beach. After dinner we took a moonlit stroll on the beach. It was absolutely gorgeous. We ended up sitting down on a blanket listening to the waves, watching the sky’s, and holding each other. Since it was our last night together I asked her to come up with a few kind words and I would do the same (knowing I had already prepared a little speech). We sat in quietness for a couple of minutes that felt like hours. It’s funny because she placed her hand on my chest and commented that my heart was racing and it was.
So she starts off with her wonderful words and I choke back the tears and say something like this:
“Yesterday symbolizes an ending in your life (referring to her old marriage) and the wonderful thing about God is that wherever there is an ending He gives you a beginning and I believe that beginning is today. Tara you are the most uniquely beautiful woman I’ve even known. God smiled upon me when He brought faith, hope, and love into my life. It would be an honor (at this time we were sitting holding hands and I had isolated her ring finger and placed the ring on her hand, her look was priceless) and priveledge if you would call me your husbandâ€
And through her trembling she replied “Of Course I willâ€
We stayed in each others arms gazing into each others eyes for a while and then slowly walked away to the car. I took a moment to describe the ring to her because it was dark and she couldn’t see it till we got to the car. We headed off to Starbucks for Coffee and desert and to come up with a plan to talk with her folks before I left.
Peachy, I’ll give you a quick description and later I’ll email you a picture of the ring and I picture we took right after I asked her. If anyone else would like to see our “engagement†picture e-mail me and I’ll forward it (CJ & PP) you are both already on the list. Anywho the ring is white gold with a princess cut center diamond. On either side of it there is a single rectangular baguette and three round cut diamonds going down the band. There is some beautiful beading going around the lower diamonds that really makes it look like an antique. [ February 17, 2005, 10:54 AM: Message edited by: LostHusband ]
