The papers I got said nothing about a hearing date. They basically said we are residents of indiana, married, have 2 kids, and irreconcilible differences. Indiana is no fault D state. Nothing about hearing though, or CS or custody.

Oregon is a no fault state and you don't have to do hearing and once all stuff is agreed upon--both have to sign and if they don't during the specified time frame then the D papers become null and void. That is what happened to us--H filed and we went back and forth and agreed--I signed final D papers and he never would so they became void in Dec. 2003.

Probably depends on the state etc.

Thinking about you KrisM--you H and mine sound like they are in the same place kinda right now. I posted update on thread "AD"

Thanks girls for the info and advice. From what I read on the internet, I think I will be okay, but I will do some more thinking tonight. Too late today to contact an attorney today, so I will think and pray on it one more night. I want so much to trust H - why is it so hard???

I will sneak in the chat room later tonight - hope to talk to some of you.

Hey Kris,

Just wanted to drop a little note for you. Please check into your d filing. Don't just take your H word for it. I am not saying that he has ill will toward you, but just do it to protect you and make sure you don't get caught up in the sleeping game. ( caught with eyes closed)

I wish you the best and hope your H does not do this to you and your family. I don't know what else to say except I am praying for you still.

JT

Thanks JT for checking up on me. It is so sweet with everything you are going through that you would find time for me. You are awesome!!

I did some more research at library last night and I am sure nothing can be done without my knowledge. There is a whole list of criteria that have to be met for divorce to be granted w/o hearing. Most of which I have to sign in agreement to. I have not signed one piece of paper and will not.

However, to put my mind at ease, I have put a call into a lawyer. Still waiting on him to call back.

Thanks again for advice and keeping me in your thoughts.

Will update you when I know more.

BG - I figured that's what happened. The cyber troll was mean last night. Hopefully see you tonight. I will be late - kids have open house at school tonight.

Talk to you later. Have a great rest of the day.

JT - Thanks for checking up on me. Sorry I missed you last night in the chat room. Maybe I'll catch you tonight. Hope you are having a better day!!

How am I doing? Honestly, I am stressing a whole lot. OC is due within the next month, H is not home, losing support of friends, haven't told kids or parents about OC, watching all my friends here go through some difficult times - so much weighing on my mind that I think that I am going nuts!!! Other than that - life is peachy!!!

Talk to you later.

Kris,

I am so sorry. I was so hoping after that vacation that things would get better for you. If it helps, I am stressing too. My OC is due September 15th.

Genia - Things do seem to be going well between H and me. It is just all my fears and doubts that are just consuming me right now. I don't understand why H is not home yet. He spends most of his time with us - so there are some doubts lingering there. But when we are together, everything is great. Actually, when I find myself stressing after thinking about things all day long at work, when I get home to him, I feel better. I don't know - hard to explain. Just so many things happening so fast right now - I guess I just need some reassurance that things will be okay.

Hi Kris,

I know what you mean. I stess too at work. Then when I get with husband everything seems fine. I do not understand why your husband isn't coming home. I guess he is trying to make up his mind so keep plan Aing him. Keep checking on the legal stuff just in case. With OC to be born soon, I am sure they are stessing too. I hope our husbands make the right decision.

Thanks Genia - I really don't doubt that H will come home. Just a little impatient I guess. Like you said in your post to Kimmy - the reality is sinking in. I just feel like I am drowning in the reality of everything right now. I just need to focus on my M, my kids and myself. Just so hard not to let all the other crap sneak into my mind. Thanks for your support.

Hang in there yourself. I have a feeling once these OC's are born, we will have some answers/resolution to all this and we will be able to breath a little easier.

You are doing great KRisM--don't let it consume you that only makes it worse for us--easier said then done right.

I know been there done that and yes a sense of relief hits once OC is born.

When you are feeling down and everything starts consuming you just remember bby steps and that it didn't get this way overnight and certainly is going to take even longer to get better

Thinking of You.

okay I just posted a great post to you but I think it got lost--anyway Hang tough and know that when OC is born you will have a sense of relief.

Don't let it consume you--it will make it worse--I know easier said than done. Remember when you are feeling down and out to think of the bby steps and the fact that this didn't happen overnight and will certainly take longer to fix.

Thinking of you.

Hi Kris,

I logged on last night to chat and saw you logged in, but when I said hi I got no response. I had to get ready for this morning so I then just logged off. you may have been posting on this site at that time.

Well how are you doing? I am a little taken back by my money situation at home, but I think the devil is just trying to get to me. He did for a minute then I had you girls to whack me back into reality. I am so amazed at how my H is not even attempting to help us knowing the type of situation he has left us in.

Enough about me. have you and the mr. been getting along better. Has he thought about dropping the D proceedings? Take your time and be the best that you can be. Hopefully I will talk to you tonight.

JT
