Anyway - my happy isn't really a happy per se. It's more of a "neat" or "cool".

Just to give a little background, I was raised in a medium sized Texas town - but a lot of my friends were members of the farming community. My mom (of all people) taught me to recognize the different crops by sight (I've since taught my daughter - who floored her daddy by pointing out the sourgum crops one day).

I drive through farmland to get to work every day. I've watched barren fields be plowed, then little green shoots pop up. The plants have filled out now, and here and there bolls have begun to pop and display the white gold reward for the farmer's hard work. Soon, more bolls are gonna pop, then the harvesters will come on their big odd machines and all the gold will be plucked off their momma plants and formed into giant cubes of cotton. The cubes will sit till the trucks take them away to be cleaned, combed and formed into t-shirts, sheets, towels, paper, golly! Lots of stuff. Then the farmers will till the old, dried plants under and leave the fields to rest till next spring, when the process will start all over again.

Isn't it wonderful? Isn't it cool?

My thought for today: My babies got up with a smile on their little faces and went off to daycare quietly giving mommy a little piece of love and this mornings breakfast.
They are my world!!

Today is a great day because my family is alive and healthy.

Today is great because I start vacation tomorrow and i get to sleep in.

I had not posted anything on this thread cuz I was concetrating on what is good & positive bwtn H & I right now.

I don't know how I could ever forget that each & everyday the Lord,

1. Wakes me up
2. I am in my right mind
3 I have use of my eyes, ears, limbs etc.
4. I find that he kept my family safe all thru the nite & no hurt, harm or danger came to anyone that I love.

I could go on & on but those r daily blessings that I am truly thankful for.

A LOT of catching up to do around here. But here's my two cents:

I saw dolphins in the actual ocean, swim, jump, do back flips and play w/ each other. They were not in some giant pool in an amusement park.

I saw seals jumping & playing in the water.

I saw some amazingly huge birds DIVING beak first into the water to fish. Crazy.

I touched a giant orange starfish & so did my 2 yo.

My 2 yo, dd new favorite word is FART!!!!lol <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="images/icons/shocked.gif" /> I guess that is what happens when you have 2 older brothers teaching you the words they find hilarious!!!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />

Ditto BG's thought - I take these things for granted sometimes.

The power of prayer and God's gift of strength. I would be very lost without God right now.

My two beautiful kids whose trust and innocence help me to focus on what is important.

The wise words of a child - This is what my DD tells me last night. She is talking about a time when the neighbor boy intentionally put my DS's golfball in the rain gutter along the street. She says, "I still love him. God forgives us when we make mistakes." I was so proud of her - I picked her up and gave her a big hug!! At 5, she's got it - she understands how God forgives. God uses our kids to remind us of such important things.

I have to jump in here too. Funny thing I am happy but I can't put words to it.

Here goes my happy things:

My H looked at me today and said he hated me. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />

Don't get upset, it's good. It's something we started when we were sep and would have an argument. During those times I think we really wanted to hate each other (so we could move on)but we could not and these feelings of love would come back so we would say I really hate you. This really meant that I hate you because you have something over on me that really makes me love you. I am sure you don't understand but it is a good thing.

Anyway, he said that after he gave me one of these longing looks and said you know what "I think I am going to buy you diamonds." It was sweet. I like when he looks at me like that.

Our son turns 5 today and he looked so sweet this morning.

Our daughter gave our son her little b-day gift she got him and he just hugged her and said thanks. It was so sweet. It brought both of them happiness.

IT's A THREE DAY WEEKEND.

Mine for the day...DD got ACT results...a composite of 30!!! She's so excited, and so are we, (hopefully will translate to some scholarship $$). The score is in the category of "highly selective". That's what she was shooting for. Actually, she said she would've been okay w/ a 28, which is near the bottom of the "highly selective" range, so she's doing a happy dance! Now just waiting for the results of the 1st of what will be 5 total, (other 4, next spring), AP exams. Can you tell I'm a proud Mommy?

Lessee. I got a new very cute nightie at the $100 store last night on sale for $7, and it was the last one! Not sexy or anything per sey - just really cute. I was never a nightie person, and am trying to expand and not go to bed in dh's t-shirts every night - cause we know how yummy we look in those (hehe).

Just told my mom and aunt that I'll have mija for the wedding (not the little guy, tho) - and I hoped they didn't mind. Wasn't surprised by their reactions - they love her to death, too (who could blame them? she's GORGEOUS). I now can't wait till tomorrow to show her off - she's such a doll baby. I got all three kids sunglasses since the wedding is on the beach. My little Leo got Spiderman, Rebekah got Princess Jasmine, and Lea got Minnie Mouse - all the colors in their respective glasses match their wedding attire....they're gonna be so cute!

Children are for lovin' and spoilin' right?

I think I found somebody who goes to Wally more than I do! Thing is, I was never one to shop there much, too messy. A new super one recently went up in our area though. We live in a relatively rural area, so to have somewhere to shop that takes less than 15 mins. to get to instead of the typical 30...hey, I'm there!

H got a burr up his butt the other night, wanting to get the oil changed in his truck...it was going on 8 pm. when he suddenly thinks of this! He asked me where I usually go. Told him my place is already closed, but suggested he try Wally, cuz I heard they change oil for really cheap. So, he went there, but the oil changing part was closed for the night, so he went somewhere else.

Anywaaaaay, he gets home and says, "I need new tires for my truck too", and he proceeds to scan the newspaper ads. I said, "Hey, I hear Wally has tires for cheap too!" He's like, "I'm NOT getting tires from there, and what's with you and Wal-Mart?...I bet you'd suggest I get my vascetomy there!!" <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />

I can't wait to tell him you call it the $100 store. He will get a kick out of that, as we never seem to walk out of there, having paid less than that! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="images/icons/shocked.gif" />

Well, I had a good night with the kids last night. Woke up this morning which is a blessing in itself. I was glad to hear my H say last night that he was spending the holiday with his family - meaning us I suppose. But none the less I was glad to hear it. He just wants to try out his new Kenmore gas grill I bought him for Father's Day.

H came home from work last night (a late one, I was barely awake) anyway.........he's getting ready to take a shower & stops in the bdrm doorway & starts to tell me how all the guys were making their 'top 10' lists of 'ladies' (you get the idea)....& he tells me that he couldn't think of a single woman (famous or otherwise) besides me that would make him happy! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />

He said he would picture a famous actress & then think "nope, I just wouldn't be as happy w/ her as I am w/ you!" I was so sincerely touched.

I was so caught off guard I had to make a joke so I asked, well did the other guys have me on their lists? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/wink.gif" /> He was so serious that he didn't get it was a joke & just answered kinda puzzled, "no". LOL

I nailed a back flip and an inward yesterday. I'm 36 yo, and have given birth 3 times...but I still got it.

My soon to be 8 year old daughter is counting the days till her b-day....8 to go....remember when we'd do that?

My 4 yo son is brown as a little berry - but when he shucks off his swim trunks, his tiny hiney is as white as a lily...lmao! He's so handsome.

Mija (first OC) only wants ME this visit (she seems to switch). Gotta love kisses with a nippy (paci) in her mouth - lol! I don't care what anyone says - she's as much mine as OWs (so there!). Her mantra is "...mommy, MOmmy, MOMMY!" to get my attention ( <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" /> ).

I am glad to be alive and am willing to give GOd the glory and be as free as I can be to live the life he has in store for me.

Today's happy is a story from last night:

It's after dinner, and I'm giving mija a bath in the kitchen sink - I must say, Thank Goodness for her being such a petite petunia, it's A LOT easier on the ole back to bathe her in the sink! Anyway, my Queen of Sheba is leaning back in the sink, eating her popsicle (which, btw, is the BEST time to give a kid a popsicle, imo), and she is just kinda lounging there....I was lmao...she looked like she was at the spa or something - all kicked back and relaxed....dh was at the table watching and talking to me. He got really quiet and says softly, "Hey." I glance up and say, "What babe?" "Thank you," says himself. I lol and say, "For what? For making such a kick a$$ dinner?" "No," he says, "for loving them so much. It makes it.........better."

WTF am I supposed to say to that? I was a little taken aback...I mean, I could say "de nada" but it isn't nothing....I could joke about it, because that's the way I am...but it wasn't the time....So I just smiled at him, finished bathing the tot, and wrapped her in the towel like a baby burrito, then as I passed him kissed him softly on his forehead. I couldn't find the words to tell him....

As I was falling asleep last night, the words came (of course they ALWAYS come hours later <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" /> ). When he comes to bed from his shower I held his hand and kissed it and told him, "It's an honor."

It is, for me, it's an honor. I know that we might not make it....I know it's going to be hard, but it will always be an honor to me to be able to love such special, wonderful little people.
