Here is a little something to encourage u....

You Are Being Tested!!

Are you presently experiencing a bad situation in your home? Were you
abandoned or were you divorced against your will? Are you presently
going through a financial crisis? Are you presently unemployed or, if
you are employed, are you having problems on the job? Is your health
failing you? Let me make this general, are you presently going through
a hard situation? If your answer is yes, rest assured, if you are
trying to walk righteously before the Lord, you are being tested! In
fact, the deeper your walk with Christ, the more intense your testing
will be. Scripture makes this clear.

As we go through life we encounter problems. The scriptures tell us
that we experience those things that are "common to man". 1 Cor.
10:13, No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to
man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond
what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of
escape, that you may be able to bear it.

The word temptation in this verse is a word meaning "to put to the
test", the implication being an adversity that tests your character,
your commitment or your faith. Jesus said, "The thief does not come
except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they
may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. I am the
good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep."

David often spoke of being tested and tried: "I know also, my God,
that thou triest the heart, and has pleasure in uprightness" (1
Chronicles 29:17) "Thou has proved mine heart; thou hast visited me in
the night; thou hast tried me, and shalt find nothing; I am purposed
that my mouth shall not transgress" (Psalm 17:3)

As you go through, be faithful to the Lord, don't give up. The heroes
of faith listed in Hebrews 11 all walked in covenant with God - and
they suffered stonings, torture and violent deaths (verses 37-38).
Others suffered "trial(s) of cruel mockings and scourgings
[whippings]" (verse 36). Paul, who walked closely with God, was
shipwrecked, stoned, whipped, left for dead. He was robbed, jailed,
persecuted and suffered the loss of all things. Why? These were all
testings, purgings, the proving of his faith!

Peter said, "Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial
which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you: But
rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that,
when his glory shall be revealed, ye may also be glad also with
exceeding joy" (1 Peter 4:12-13)

When Jesus allows suffering and trials in our lives, He's after one
thing. It is the same thing he was after when He asked Abraham to
sacrifice his beloved son Isaac.

God allowed Abraham to lead Isaac up the mountain and raise the knife
above him. It was only then that the Lord said, "No!" What was the
Lord after? Simply this: "Abraham, do I mean more to you than the
object of your deepest earthly affections? Abraham was willing to lay
down all that was near and dear to him - his only son, the very object
of God's promise to him - and to put his future in God's hands. He
gave all to the Lord!

In the book of Job we see where satan challenged Job's commitment to
God by attacking his family, his finances, and his health. satan's
intention is to steal our faith.

Luke 22:31-33 31And the Lord said, "Simon, Simon! Indeed, satan has
asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. 32But I have prayed for
you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to
Me, strengthen your brethren."

We can see by these two passages that trials and tests come to steal
the Word from us. The Word of God is the source of our faith. (Rom. 10:17)

Job's crowning moment came when he declared for all to hear, "Though
He slay me, yet will I trust Him." Job 13:15 NKJV Job refused to deny
His God even when it seemed that God had abandoned him.

So my friends, you must past this test. You must believe God and trust
Him to bring you out. You cannot at this point, give up or curse God
and die. You need to past this test. Don't give up. Don't grow weary.
Do not curse God and die. Draw close to the Lord. Wait upon the Lord.
Wait, I say upon the Lord. He will bring you out. Yes He will.

Be encouraged

Wanted to share a verse I am focusing on for the next few days:

He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry and save them. Psalm 145:19, NKJV

Don'tcha just LOVE the word DESIRE? I do! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />
