Gio...I too know some born again Christians and one of them is a very good friend to me. He and I often discuss theology, as I have a strong interest in religious history. He is the most accepting person I know.
It would be nice to be accepted into the faith I was brought up in but it isn't the end of the world. Now it is just another thing I have let go of...along with ever getting custody papers signed, ever getting a passport for my D, ever getting her citizenship fixed. Some things you just can't fight...or rather I am tired of fighting all the time.
I think even the Church would agree that I have paid my penance, and now I just want to move on. It may not be perfect but it is the best I can do for now. Maybe one day I will have more fight in me to adress these issues. Not today.

Twilight, I'm sorry, I know I am on the 'other side' but I can still relate to being just plain TIRED of it ALL!!!!! Right there w/ ya' on that. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="images/icons/frown.gif" />
Well, if you are ever in CA-----then I can obviously refer you to a church (or 2) that WILL baptize your child.
