Hello,
Guess I am an oldie now! Sorry to see so many new names, but this is a great place for support, many loving, caring, wonderful ladies here.
I am the 43 soon to be 44 yr. old (next week) youngest of 4 children, both of my parents are still living & happily married, (4 houses down the street, need I say we are close, one of my sisters lives around the corner ).
I am the mother of one handsome 22 yr. old son who is now attending college in Toronto, Canada - only about 90 min. away but I miss him terribly, experiencing empty nest snydrome I guess.
I have two nieces ages 28 & 13 & six nephews ages 18, 17, 15, 11, 9 & 5, (the five yr. is my brother's OC that I have never met), & two great nieces ages 7 & 3 & four great nephews ages 10, 6, 5 & 1, the 10 yr. old I helped deliver! What an experience that was. I have a 4 yr. old God Daughter who I love as if she were my own & is truly a joy in my life. For the moment I also have a 2 yr. old step daughter.
I love the Lord & I am so glad he chose me almost 9 years ago, all this time he was preparing me for this "trial" & without him I would be.... I hate to think about it - so I won't.
I love to sing also, I used to sing in local bands when I was a teenager & sang in the church choir up until last year, have been out of church, but getting back on track slowly as of this year. I love watching movies, & reading.
I am a secretary at a university here & work with many students from all over the world, can't say I love my job but it is NEVER boring!
Thinking of going back to school or at least taking a class, have way too much time on my hands. All in all not sure what this year holds for me, but God is able to anything but fail & what he has for me is for ME!
I agree -- great thread KT!

This is fun! I always try to piece little bits together from what slips out in a post!
I just turned 43. It's not so bad.
I am a Registered Dietitian with a masters in Foods and Nutrition as well. I mostly taught adult nutriton classes and did individual counseling for stuff like diabetes, heart disease and the even present weight control. I have not been working lately. Taking care of my kids!
I have three great kids: Son-14, Son-12, Daughter-9. They keep me busy. How do you get them to pick up all their stuff????
I love to make quilts! I love the fabric, the colors, the puzzle aspect of putting the blocks together. I have found that quilter's are the nicest people.
I love to bake!!! I would rather bake than cook any day. I make the best carmels at Christmas and my pies are in demand. I can't bake too much.....the weight control deal!
I love to read, but lately I listen to more books on my ipod! It has changed my life. I listen to books while I am on the treadmill or folding clothes, doing dishes, etc. It makes the time go so fast and I am learning and enjoying. I highly recommend audible.com. for digital books.
I live in Southern California, but I love the mountains and I would move in a heartbeat. I especially love the Tetons in Idaho and Wyoming. Hiking to the Ice Caves is a family favorite.
My H and I will have been married 20 years in June. We knew each other in High School, but didn't date until college. He is a wonderful man, who had a 1 year brain cramp and had an A and now there is OC. He has changed so much and our relationship is becoming even better than it was before. Could it be worth it if you can truly be "one" emotionally, physically, and spiritually afterwards? I don't think we would have made the changes without the crisis.
I was diagnosed with breast cancer in February 2004 and was in between surgeries when I found out about A. I had 7 weeks of daily radiation. I really never even was capable of worrying about that since my life was falling apart over the A. I am all healed and the doctors do not expect it to come back!!! Don't put off those mammograms!! This was my first one and they found it when the tumor was very small.
Thank you all for the support in all the posts that are written. I only wish I had found this site sooner.

Sunny, My H rides a Harley also. Was one of the sore spots in our M because he got it when I was pregnant w/ #3. One more thing to keep him busy, ya know. But now that we are reconnecting, and my youngest is 2 1/2, I figured, if you can't beat him, join him. We've gone on several rides together and it's great! He says he loves it that he can now share this joy w/him.
Loved reading all of your stories. I'll get to it soon. Gotta go get the kids now...
