No of course it is no excuse to have to deal with an angry drunken person. But there he is and there you are, you know? He probably is using your suicide attempt as an excuse for anger and the anger is maybe covering up other feelings? Kind of easier to blame it on that and be done with it then really figure out why he is angry and what is wrong? Either way he has to work through it. And with you just coming of this horrible experience of your suicide attempt, you need your rest. He was sorry and that is a good thing and shows he has remorse for the way he acted.
Del

Just saw your response to Lisa. Sorry. Well it seems that when you show some strength, like when you told you guys might not make it, then he backs off of saying the same. If he really wanted to leave,he could just say you are right! That shows me that he really probably does want to stay and hopefully with talking, you can get through this.
Del

I'll go first - I vote YES, YES, YES, YES, YES!!!!!!!
Great steps. He wants to talk. You are open to doing so without LB-ing and respecting where he is coming from all the while.
Hooray K7, Ima, Lolita, Marleniana, Joretta (trying to throw you off, help you develop a little amnesia as requested. Figure this'll either work or you'll develop a multi-personality disorder! Either way, you're bound to find something better than the current cr@p that K7 goes through! [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] )
Hey everyone, lets call her something different in each and every post - that oughta do it!
K7, if taking tomorrow off won't add mega pressure to you from the work front then by all means use this opportunity wisely!
Cheers,
Lisa

He's confused and depressed. Angry at himself, but displaces that onto everything and everyone else.
As for being intimate, I'd guess his heart WAS in it at the time, and he started feeling guilty and confused afterwards (been there, done that).
As for alternating between being nice and being not-so-nice, also been there and done that (tossed the d**n t-shirt). He's depressed and confused.

Well, I am definitely (is that spelled right) taking 1/2 day vacation tomorrow. That means I don't have to be in until 12:30. I can get a nap this afternoon. Get a bath, get relaxed and have a talk with H tonight. Then go to bed and sleep a little bit late. I'm glad I decided to do it. I do want him to know I want to talk about this with him. And I want him to know I realize it's not easy right now for either of us. One day at a time. Does anybody ever get to the point where they look back and say, "It was rough but we got through it."????? This last year has undoubtedly been the worst of my life and the longest. It feels like hours are days and days are weeks. I want to get back to a place of joy and happiness so bad it almost hurts thinking about it. Does anyone here remember the last time they were actually happy???

------------------
Blessed be.
****************
Keridwen
Keridwen_7@yahoo.com
