Hi Sherry. Got the e-mail. Thanks. I am doing well. I've been working very hard at letting my H and I just "be" where we are right now. It's been tough, but it seems to help me get through these days. I have done a lot of letting him emotionally abuse me. I'm trying very hard not to let what he says affect me the same way it always has. Yesterday a situation came up. H decided to get angry about something that he perceived differently than I did. When he thinks I've done something wrong lately, I can almost SEE him withdrawing. Yesterday I didn't let him. I said "you know, honey, I do NOT wake up every morning and say to myself, what can I do or say today to push Scott further away from me." I told him that I was and am continuing to work on changes in myself because I was not happy with who I had become prior to his A. I told him that he really had me walking on eggshells by analyzing my every move. He actually apologized! And for once, I didn't apologize for speaking my mind in a firm, loving manner. This was good for me.
