wow, what a thread!
just two things: i have married friends who look like ken and barbie, and are proud of it, and it is very important to them, and they also would still love each other no matter what happened. that's not my "thing" at all.
My H keeps getting older, but his wives don't (im his fourth [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] ), i teased him that i am his reward for making it to age 47 with all his hair. we have both gained about 25 lbs since we married (ive been having babies and he's been having junk food). we have not discussed it much, but OW has the long hair and thin thighs he covets-though she is 16 years my senior-and has the work ethic he covets MORE (im at home with the babies, and we have some financial trouble due to his mania problems).
he wants me to lose weight and grow my hair, but then he brings me tons of candy, and compliments my short 'do (which looks a lot better on me than long). huh?
He says, "i look good for a 50yo!", and i think, no, you don't. you did when we got married, though. (30" waist is now 35". ugh).
point is, he dresses nicely, i do the best i can with my round form-till the breastfeeding is done- and when it comes down to it, we have acknowledged that the only reason we are together is pheromones (the breath from his nose is absolutely the best thing i have ever smelled in my life, and is without question the reason i married him...when he accuses me of cheating, all i can think is NO WAY, i have found my match, there IS no one else, and could never be).
weird, i know, but i DO place a lot of faith in that biology "stuff" (huh, K [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] )
