Don't cops kinda wink wink at firement and ambulance drivers? My dad was a cop and I got a few "warnings" in my day due my last name at the time. Anyway, glad you got out of it. You ARE wearing your seat belt, right? Hey, you anywhere near Portidge? (I'm not, so if you are, don't worry about me comin' stalkin) Just have friends that live there.

Sorry JD at stealing your thread.
It was her!!! [pointing finger at Debbie] She started it, I was an innocent bystander... That was a nice post BTW.
Deb,
I live in the Lehigh Valley, 60 miles north of Philly. We made two runs down there tonight and with traffic on 76, I am fried. It normally takes 3 hours round trip to make the run, being Friday night, everyone is trying to get out of the city. First one took us 5, second wasn't bad almost 4 hours. I get to make another trip in the am.
And yes as soon as the Statie found out I was a Medic he gave me back my paperwork. Um... can you say professional courtesy?
And, I am highly allergic to seat belts, I break out in a rash. The drivers side on my car is still a virgin. G has worn hers on occasion. Now, that makes me wonder. I haven't killed her yet.
I'm a 13 year old kid trapped in a 41 year old mans body... HELP!!!
------------------
"It's not over till we say it's over! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? H*ll no!" Blutto...Animal House 1984
Wishing us all the Best.
Medic

Dog gone it...you are a MAN, not a mouse, wear the dang seatbelt, pleeeze? I have quite a scar on my chin from 1977...thought I was too good to wear a seat belt then. It would never happen to me. Lordy, you drive an AMBULANCE...haven't you seen the after effects of no seat belt?
whoops... ok, off my high horse....
We now return you to your regularly scheduled broadcast....

Deb,
I've seen more stuff that I would like to just file away. Sorry about your scar. One of my other Z's was totalled by a drunk driver. We got tagged broadside on the passenger side and spun around greater than 360. It was a hell of a ride. T tops shattering showering glass on me and my passenger [I wasn't wearing seatbelt then either] breaking the axle off and seeing my wheel bounce by the window and my first instinct was to get out and provide care to him immobilizing his neck seeing as thou he was on the affected side of the vehicle, I was fine [he was my future, now X BIL trapped and they needed the Jaws of Life to rip off the door]. Of course the local ambulance crew knew me and I was treated very well being one of them in the profession.
Yep, me bad, I don't wear the seat belt in the truck [ambulance] either. It's just me. It is the law here in Pennsy and I got away with that as well when I was pulled over.
When Val crashed the Stealth she was scared poopless as the propelant in the earlier vehicles used jet fuel to inflate the air bag. She saw a big flame. I just live life on the edge.
Hope you have a great night, I have to crash. Got to play ambulance in the am.

------------------
"It's not over till we say it's over! so why? What is the deal with not wearing one? I'm 41 too (ack), and I remember the days when it wasn't the law, and you felt free and easy driving yourself wherever you wanted to go and you thought living fast, dieing young, leave a beautiful corpse was like the cool thing to do. Hey, we're ADULTS now. Living on the edge, eh? Where is butterfly and that dang frying pan?! (really, no offense intended). I have another friend who's in his 50's and won't wear one either...you guys scare the heck out of me.
Yeah, I got a soccer game in the morning to attend so I'm signing off too. Sleep tight. When you get in your car/truck tomorrow, and don't put on that seat belt, think of me... and I hope you have pictures of butterfly and her frying pan in your head...
