guess we will have to wait for the releif crew huh..
My programs go back to the 50's, late 50's early 60's was the golden age of westerns, some really good stuff, including great theme music/songs.... ah, the good ole days when a man was a man, and all was right with the world, well at least according to tv anyways.

Thought I would drop in on this..
To get back somewhat to the original topic, is anyone an avid watcher of "King of the Hill" I think they way they present the ongoing A between Dales wife and John Redcorn is hilarious. Its about the only time I can actually laugh about this subject.

how about howdy doody time, howdy doody time, shoot, can remember music but not all words
can sorta remember romper room, but don't know if any music
my favorite though was the little rascals and
felix the cat
the wonderful wonderful cat
something about making your heart go pita pat
well, time to go to bed an read about windows xp, having trouble with comp network
am also reading the the left behind series (christian series ficiton about rapture events, is pretty good) am on assassin
also reading the red tent, another Christian novel focused on the life from a womans viewpoint during bliblical times
lovesher....saw king of the hill tonight, watch it sometimes but not enough to keep up, I think the show is a little sick, like the simpsons, but I watch it (and simpsons) cause can be hilarious that is for sure, something about spoofing, or parody that makes it work I guess, but leaves me a little uneasay.
[ February 28, 2002: Message edited by: sad_n_lonely ]

Yeah, well snl, it's been real!!!!!!
I'd like to end with this, the theme from Married with Children (seems to fit, does it not?):
Love and Marriage, Love and Marriage, Go together like a horse and carriage, This I tell ya brother, you can't have one without the other.
Love and Marriage, Love and Marriage, It's an institute you can't disparage, Ask the local gentry, and they will say is element'ry.
Try, try, try to separate them, It's an illusion. Try, try, try and you will only come to this conclusion.
Love and Marriage, Love and Marriage, Go together like a horse and carriage, Dad was told by mother You can't have one You can't have none You can't have one without the other.

Naw! I don't think they'd pass the filters! I got a hand-written copy of it when I was 12, and remembered them ever since! Talk about how pornography can get into your head and stay there!
SNL, BTW - Now you've got me on a hunt for the rest of the lyrics to Palladin. I used to know them, but after reading what you wrote, FORGOT everything I knew!
BTW - I did not see Ed, which I usually watch, however, I am not surprised at how they are treating this issue. It is the "world's" way of dealing with infidelity. It's perfectly ALL RIGHT to walk away from your M, especially if you're in love with someone else. Maybe they didn't resolve the issue right then and there because they are waiting to get "feedback" from the viewers? Think we can influence the outcome of this A by our cards and letters?
Also, BTW - I always suspected Jim, never "trusted" him. Hmmm, maybe I'm finally getting some of those "wifey antanae" I never had before H's A hit the light of day.......sure wish I had them earlier!

lupo, been thinking about palladin since wrote it, stuck in my head....
Palladin palladin where do you roam
Palladin Palladin far far from home
Have gun will travel reads the card of this man
A knight without armour in a savage land
(think there is more)
This was one of my favorite shows of all time, I wanted to be like him when I grew up, the perfect role model for a rescuer.
I know what you mean about porno, I have a couple of visions burned into my brain also, it only takes a second...not so much naked women, that is fairly normal, it is all the other stuff sex acts and what not.... how people can argue this stuff is not dangerous is beyond me.
let me know how palladin goes...
[ March 02, 2002: Message edited by: sad_n_lonely ]

lupo....BTW - your comment previously on this thread about the Bundy's fitting made me FINALLY "get" what FIT is all about!!! And you're right!!! THEY fit!!!!!!!!
snl...Yep, it is not a value judgement (fit), it is an assessment. I had an interesting conversation with marriage counsellor last year. I discuss all these issues I have with him too, and acknowledged no one is "perfect", always be problems, etc., so how does one assess the viability of a marriage....as we talked about differences in temperament vs personality traits vs personality disorders vs dysfunction I said, so fit then isn't about how "normal" people are, but how their personality disorders complement or antagonize each ohter.... he said...bingo. Fit is very real, and it is the single defining factor in how successful a marriage (as a pairbond) will be, and it is immutable.
The bundy's or course, were actors, but they illustrated the principle so well. I know of other marriages where both parties have serious dysfunctions, but the marriage works, not cause of committment, or religion (in fact, that is completely absent), but because as a couple, a pairbond, the dysfunctions mesh and do not create disharmony....humans are fascinating to unravel lupo, and that is one of my characteristics, a disorder maybe, a burning need to understand stuff, a need to interpret, clarify, argue, and re-clarify...it works with some, not with others, and I will always be this way, and I am ok with that.
ah yes, now I remember those lyrics too, I think getting close.
[ March 02, 2002: Message edited by: sad_n_lonely ]
