MYSTERY SCIENCE THEATRE!!! LOVE IT! LOL! I think my friends H and I would be perfect for that show, cause we always make stupid jokes all through a movie anyway (my H and his W would be all for segregated movie theatres).

Oh, another oldie but goodie.....
Imitation of Life
Also love Steel Magnolias and Terms of Endearment.
Ladysing~
Have you seen Moulin Rouge? The score in that movie is comprised of a myriad of different (already popular) songs. Ewen McGregor is singing and out he belts....."The hills are alive with the sound of muUUsiiiiccccc". I thought that was pretty cool. Only one line. I can handle that.
As of my post last night I have been walking around....."Hm.hm...hm.hm.hm.hm.HM.hm....and yu and yu and YuuUUUU".
DO YOU SEE WHAT THAT MOVIE DOES TO MEEEEEEEE!
Best In Show! "Beatrice is having some problems. She saw us having sex. We had tried something new from our Kama Sutra book.....and I think it traumatized her"! Couldn't help but laugh at that considering Beatrice is a dog.
Those people making up songs about Terriers!
Luvmydogs~
There is a beagle in best in show but it's only for a one small scene. It really is a good movie but it's best the second time around. I haven't seen Cats and Dogs.....but BIS is pretty much like a commentary or something. Not for children.
I visit a website that is probably just the place for you. It's for other dog fanatics! (I'm one too)
Melody Lane~
I hear ya, Girl! I used to put on my Mom's featherdown parka (tied it around my waist) so I could be just like the southern belle Scarlett O'Hara. While in full garb I would sing "Coal Miner's Daughter" to all my teddy bears.
selket
"so long.....farewell....it's time to day goodniiIIIght......" For Nikko and anyone else that has trouble getting out to the rental shop...if you have a dvd player....
I can highly recommend netflix!!
My H and I signed up about 4 months ago, and we just looooooooove it. We watch alot of movies together (our recreational thing) and so we enjoy runnign to the mail box to see if a new flick is in there waiting for us!
We used to spend easily $15 bucks a weekend - 2 rentals and assorted late fees.
Now we spend $20, and have a new movie every couple of days to watch together. No late fees!
Do I sound like an ad or what? I'm just a very satisfied customer

Oh! Fried Green Tomatoes is one of my favs too!! I love it when the 2 teens pull into a parking space before her and say, "Face it lady, we're younger and faster". And then she smashes into the 'younguns' car and says, "Face it ladies, I'm older, but I have more insurance!" TAWANDA POWER!!!
A few other favs:
Monty Python's Live at the Hollywood Bowl (ALBATROSS!!! hehehe) There's something about Mary Three Amigos (my little buttercup... hehehe) Tin Cup Stargate ALL movies with 'the Muppets' Casablanca Meet the Parents (gotta love the drag racing scene) Rocky Horror Picture Show (I can't wait to teach my boys how to do the Time Warp!)
As everyone else feels.. there are SO MANY MORE movies I love too. Thanks for this thread! This has been fun!!!
Karen

Last nite I watched a bevy of movies. "Rat Race" is just so hilarious. And as I mentioned, "Training Day" is worth the rental if you like Denzel and Ethan Hawke, and you don't mind some violence. But be warned, Denzel is a REAL Meanie!
The rental has bonus footage with an alternate ending.
Jo
[ March 23, 2002: Message edited by: Resilient ]

There's another movie I really like (can't remember the name) has Nicole Kidman. She's involved in a car accident which kills her and her H's baby boy. They go away on a cruise on their sailboat to help her forget. While out, they run across this big 'ole sail crusier that only has one survivor. They allow the guy on board, and he turns out to be a mental case which murdered all the people on-board his sailboat.
Anyone remember the movie name?
Jo

Rosie,
Netflix sounds so cool. Do you get to pick the type of movies they send you? (i.e., Sci Fi, Drama, Comedy, etc.)
Jo
[ March 23, 2002: Message edited by: Resilient ]

Hi Jo, I think the name of that movie was Dead Calm and you are right...it was an awesome movie! I just loved it.
My favorite movie is a toss up between Fried Green Tomatoes and The Bone Collector w/ Denzel Washington and Angelina Jolie (kind of gory but it was great!)
BH

Glad I could help! I love murder mysteries and courtroom dramas too. John Grisham and James Patterson are two of my favorite authors and when they make a movie out of one of their books...I am there!!
BH

Ok you all know I have wierd taste anyway: 1) The piano 2) Willy wonka and the chocolate factory 3) Gladiator has anyone ever seen Boxing Helena? The original subtitled Mariachi with Antonio Banderas was good too. I guess I will have to get rat race since you all seem to like it so much.
