yup...stockbroker/financial planner
sometimes i wonder if it's not so much that these charming sales types just happen to fall into cheating...i think they - on some level - chose to work in a field that would give them the time, opportunity and freedom to come and go as they wish from their homes and offices. Sales equals lots of dinners with "clients", trips, golf...ect...tons of opportunity for those who don't like accountability.
guess it's the old which came first, the chicken or the egg question?

"Sales equals lots of dinners with "clients", trips, golf...ect...tons of opportunity for those who don't like accountability."
I don't mean to get defensive, but................
I found my 22 years in sales as one of the most rewarding events in my life. We are constantly being beat up by customers and then getting beat up by our own company who wants more, more, more! Sales IMHO is a career that requires the utmost in accountability. The numbers are there for everyone to see and your income (and career growth)is typically based on one thing - sales results. That is about as accountable as it gets! The personal side of accountability is a choice we all make. But sales as a profession is inherently the ultimate 'position of accountabilty'.
Again, I don't want to sound defensive but I've seen people in other positions be able to 'hide' when the going gets tuff. There isn't any hiding in sales! IMHO
Gib

Nope. Mine used to do industrial refrigeration. Hazardous materials. Maybe I'll get lucky and he will explode. He fell 4 1/2 stories when working on a construction site for a new cold storage. That didn't kill him, nothing probably will. I couldn't get that lucky.
Elizabeth

Yes, my husband is in sales. A career that provides opportunities to call and entertain clients (OW) and still have an excuse. Its just business.

My FWH used to be in retail sales. Now in retail managment. He's very charming and charismatic. It also doesn't help that the company he works for is a den of iniquity -- everybody seems to be f***ing somebody they shouldn't.
