You know the funny thing about Texan's is they don't know that Yams and Sweet Potatoes are two different things. I seen them slammin on us yankees for calling sweet tatters "yams" - shhh, they think they 're the same thing!

You listening Mel????
Ohhh Melly ... read below:

4. Also called sweet potato.

Sweet Potato:

So Resilient, does that mean they're the same or not??????

Oh don't bother answering that Res, I'm sure some smart [censored] southerner's gonna come on here shortly and answer it for us, iffen Mel don't set us straight first.

O, you're not a southerner are you? I'm thinking your an Easterner, right?

Or would that be a south-easterner?

Hi Haywire!!!!!
weaver,

Heck no I am not a southerner.I am a die hard North Easterner, born and raised. Although I was a "displaced" Easterner for several years living near the Golden Gate.Ahhh! I miss Sis Can Frisco!

But,I love New England,it's in my blood.I have my two cords of wood stacked high and dry and I am ready for the snow.Bring it on!
I'm from the Great Pac Northwest - Washington State.

A fellow YANKEE girl.

The dict definition excerpt above regarding Yams and Sweet Potatos imply they are one in the same.

I'm waiting for our resident Miss Melly to respond regarding this revelation.

Jo (Flat Hair & proud of it)

Hey Weaver!
Hey 10 Girl,

We miss your helpful 2x4 and caring posts. Hope you are doing well and just wanted you to know, I think of you daily. In an MB sisterly way of course.

Drop a line ok? I am just getting over my tummy ache from MSchluter's thread. Don't want to get another one. It just messes up my job hunting excursions.

Aloha,
L.

You know Orchid, I was wondering how badly that was affecting you when I read your thread calling for help. I figured you were pretty alarmed and worried.

This board can be terribly scary that way sometimes, can't it.
