You know the funny thing about Texan's is they don't know that Yams and Sweet Potatoes are two different things. I seen them slammin on us yankees for calling sweet tatters "yams" - shhh, they think they 're the same thing!

You listening Mel????

4. Also called sweet potato.

Sweet Potato:

I'm from the Great Pac Northwest - Washington State.

A fellow YANKEE girl.

The dict definition excerpt above regarding Yams and Sweet Potatos imply they are one in the same.

I'm waiting for our resident Miss Melly to respond regarding this revelation.

Hey Weaver!
Hey 10 Girl,
dammit the woodpile's gettin low. DH/WH chopped up a bit before this all went down but it's not gonna hold us through the winter. And he ain't choppin no more. A blazing fireplace is the ONLY good thing about these winters. I'm in a little panic.

MelodyLane, you stubborn Texas cutie! I hope your ears are burning. LOL!!!

We miss your helpful 2x4 and caring posts. Hope you are doing well and just wanted you to know, I think of you daily. In an MB sisterly way of course.

Drop a line ok? I am just getting over my tummy ache from MSchluter's thread. Don't want to get another one. It just messes up my job hunting excursions.

You know Orchid, I was wondering how badly that was affecting you when I read your thread calling for help. I figured you were pretty alarmed and worried.

This board can be terribly scary that way sometimes, can't it.
