Toss PBR in there anyway, they can use her and L can sure use her gone. At least it would take her a while to find her way back. Maybe she would latch on to a firefighter or something...
The fire seems to have been started by a forestry service employee of 15 years. Evidently, from what I read and comprehend (check Knewjie's thread to me and www.9news.com), she was burning some letter from her estranged husband and it got a tad out of control.
I wonder if she is an MBer.....
Anyway, the ranch still stands, and is still in danger. I'm thinking of teleporting it to the north side of the fire. They seem to be doing well on that side. They do have things under control a bit more now, the threat seems less, the stress vibes from Dad less, the general situation just not as crazy as before.
On a side note, my grandmother - she is truly a fruitcake. Family party yesterday, she anounces to everyone what a shame it is about our divorce and how wonderful [censored] always was to the children and I. How sad the whole situation is that I have left him because he is disabled.
That was when I got up and left. Very politely.
Some people! Like I don't have enough going on right now you know?!
I would usually tell something like that to Dad, it is his Mom, but there is no way I am going to add to his problems now. I'll just ignore. The ones that love me know he is a poo.
E

Remember you wrote she is a fruitcake. Sorry, that happened to you.
glad the ranch is still standing. keeping all crossalbe parts crossed. OS saw me reading 1 of the ranch threads & he asks about it.
Speaking of OS, the boys spent about 3 days with their dad; they aren't to fond of OW & her D, so they were glad to spend most of it doing guy stuff without them. But OS said you know if dad marries her, it will only be because he doesn't want to look like a fool to everybody, all they do is fight & 1 of them is always mad. Thought it was funny, because the STBX will never admit he make a mistake.
Enjoy your day. I have no ac. NOt a fun thing to do in TX.

No AC? Girlfriend are you nuts? I have it here in WI for the 3 days a year we get to use it. I have some older units in the garage, they weigh over 100lbs each, UPS might ship them...
How about when I win the lottery I send you a Sears gift certificate?
I couldn't imagine going through life fighting and being mad. I would rather look like a fool. Personally I think he would look more like a fool staying in a relationship just to prove some kind of point.
E

It's bad. Now they are issuing a standby for Woodland Park. Flare ups and Trigger Points, all sorts of terms being flung around. That is where they have been holding all the evacuated animals, wonder what the plans are now?
I was at my sister's for dinner and he called. Before he was thinking all things were fine, and that we should put his father's day gifts in the mail, now he says to hold on to them again.
I'm praying this doesn't cause a heart attack or something. Not just for him, but the stress these people must be going thru is incredible.
E

Congrats on the AC!
Things are really bad, today was one of the worst days yet. Tomorrow might be even worse.
The Hayman Fire has claimed 120,000 acres. Containment is down from 50% to 40%.
The evacuations have gone across the entire northern half of Dad's county, and the fire is completely out of control in that area. It is too hot to have the firefighters in the area. They have cancelled media tours for the second day in a row.
Woodland Park, the area that was where shelters had been set up for evacuees (sp?) and where the Saddle Club where evacuated animals were being kept is now under advisory status for evacuation. That means that they may be ordered to evacuate at any time. Police were driving thru the town announcing it over loudspeakers. Ash is falling there, and smoke is covering the town.
I've got family there too.
They have set up a contingency shelter in Cripple Creek.
E

Oh, forgot, I did tell Dad that I had all my computer people pulling for him. He appreciates it, and did some funny voice "I feel the love".
Dunno what the reference on that one is, but it sounds kind of funny.
E

How about
The red flag warning that was on the past two days is gone.
More people have lost their homes though becuase of the extreme fire behavior the past two days.
Dad is pretty sure his house is in a stable place for the time being, the weather last night and this morning helped, but now they are saying this one might not be out till the snow puts her out.
We are just taking it day by day. The fire ran 20 miles East in just a few days, it all depends on the weather and her mood.
If you have a cable connection or work connection there is some amazing footage taken from a helicopter that one of the TV stations down there put up on their site uncut. It is really long, but to just sit and watch it for a minute or two really gives you a feel for the whole thing. Really neat to watch. Video Link Left side of the page about halfway down, it has a little video camera and says Airtracker 7 Near Signal Butte Tuesday Afternoon.
We are all hanging in, Dad is tough, sis and I are being comforted by him most of the time.
E

Dear E,
Good to hear from you. I think about you and your family often.
Thanks to you and sing for offering to take PBR off our hands. U 2 really made my day.
Guess what, H told Lupolady today that OW really wasn't his type anyway. News to me!!!! LOL!!!
So I volunteer to sent that critter of an OW creature anywhere else!!! LOL!!
take care,
L.

Thanks for thinking of us, you guys have all been so supportive thru every little and big thing, don't know how I would have stayed half sane the past almost 2 years without all of you guys (and xanax ). One day I hope to be fully sane. I never was to begin with, but I aspire to be.
Not his type huh? Interesting...
Instead of just Dad's fire - let's just send her from fire to fire sucking out all the oxygen! Sing, get ready for your little assignment. Could you take the new swiffer wet jet instead of the broom? I love that thing? Tried it yet? It might be faster and get PBR out of town without too much fuss for Orchid that way. We could keep her chatty mouth busy for quite a while...
Right now there are 19 major fires burning in the U.S. We have lost 1.84 million acres.
As far as the Hayman Fire, the count of known homes lost, 79. There may be more, they just can't go to some areas to see because the fire is there. 413 outbuildings were lost; stables, garages, pole barns...
The cost of fighting the fire so far - $17,365,000.
The sleep I have lost, tons. The bags under my eyes, black and huge. Concealer will not cover them. Xanax consumed - mass quantities. Doc had to call me in extra, and he upped the dose for sleeping. It is 4:29am. Something didn't work with that one.
Chris needs to be reassured all the time that Papa is not in the fire, just near it, but perfectly safe. And he will stay perfectly safe. I don't think I mentioned it here, but I lost a dear friend to a fire in October, his "Uncle Timmy". That poor kid has been through so much. He is only 8 and yet is dealing with so much. His therapist and I decided it was time to try an anti depressant. He started on prozac 6 weeks ago, and we just upped the dose yesterday.
I have always felt strongly about not medicating my children, but at this point I think it is really the best choice.
Ramble, chatter, yadda,
E

Hello from Colorado -- apparently things have taken a turn for the better. We've had some rain and the humidity is up. This morning's paper indicates that the firefighters believe they have better control over the fire (at least this one and JTW's papa's ranch). Other fires are raging in other parts of the state. Hopefully El Nino will kick in and start bringing more afternoon rains earlier than usual in the season.
Hoping for the best JTW and thinking of you and your family.
