How do you get the sickening images of an unfaithful partner out of your head? I keep seeing not only sex scenes but other types of betrayal like dates, cuddles, intimate phone calls etc., not to mention the intimate and close moments we were sharing at the same time. They hurt me so much but I think of them all the time. Any advise?

getreal9,

I am sorry you are here. Keep in mind that you are not alone.

An open line of communication with my wife has helped me with those images you speak of. Hearing her inner thoughts and feelings helped me to realize that her A's were not realy about me.

You see, I spent much time blaming myself until I realized that I did not cause her to do what she did. Once I stopped blaming myself things got much better.

I used to beat myself up with those images. The images are in the past, life goes on. I felt so sorry for myself...poor pitiful me...how could this be happening to me? I got sick and tired of that thinking...I woke up and decided to do something about it. I am not the first person to go through this, others have repaired their relationship and created something remarkable. I decided that's what I want. I believe that is what my wife wants also.

I don't know the answer to your question. I only know what has been working for me. I pray that you find peace.
