Hi - My H and I were thinking of attending the marriage builders weekend in September in King of Prussia PA and were wondering anyone else going?

Would also like to know any one else who has been who thought it was worth while?

Thanks Sandy

Its a very good course but..................

It only works if both people want to be there. If its a case of one person being dragged or only being there out of obligation then you might not get your money's worth.

On the other even if someone is less than enthused to be there, it is a step in the right direction.

All the books and material can make a huge difference if you are willing to work through the material.

Even if you don't do the work if you simply come to an understanding of what each of you needs to be happy then you have something to work with.

King of Prussia Seminar is Sept 24/25 - Cost is $795 for couples - if you go to MB website (home) left hand corner there is an announcement about the upcoming two, King of Prussia is closest to us - I think the hotel is about $200 for the two days, the $795 includes lots of material too

I remember on the website awhile back members talking about the last one - it sounded good

We're doing the MB home study program without the seminar, which H would not attend.

We had physical abuse, including a broken arm, as well as an affair and I got a harassment order from OW. I also discovered his using on-line porn, and did not have sex with him for a year.

The course is very thorough and very good. It ends bad marriages, because you realize what you are missing and learn to get it with each other or you end the marriage because one will not do what is necessary to create a good marriage. Our household is calmer, but we are such bad shape that we have floundered around and now we are trying to learn to converse together by reading books. It's safe.

This is a last-ditch effort after two marriage counselors -- the first said the problem was I have to forgive him, and the second said that the concept of care doesn't make sense to my husband. Both recommended divorce. Both were Christian counselors.

DoneFragsWrong and I live very close to K of P.
Going over finances to see if it's feasible...we are spending a lot already on both ICs and MC (only one IC is covered under insurance.)

We would love to attend.
Anyone else considering and/or attending?

We grew up right near there...boy, we should go. I did mention it to WH. I think he would go if we could scrape together the cash. I think that all the books and the home program are included, plus post-conference chat or emails or both or something like that. I wonder if I could bring my nursing baby???
