It's 1:45am here in the Rockie Mountains, and it is a cold, clear, crisp night. The sky is almost entire black, as the moon is down to just a sliver. Tomorrow they are predicting snow (in the mountains?? NO!) and for the weekend they are predicting skiers.

Bob, I'm sorry to hear about your trigger. It suckz doesn't it? Not to mention hurting! I actually have a suggestion if you'd like to hear it....

I suggest that you purposely make a new memory of "hotel rooms". Not to be so brazen as to mention bellebuttons at 2am, but...perhaps you could reveal to your lovely that you had a triggery feeling, and you and Squidy could come up with SOME kind of idea for making a GOOD memory about hotel rooms <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/wink.gif" /> Hmmmm...what could it be....??? (Tapping toe) (Rubbing chin)

In addition to the OBVIOUS good memory, it could be more "intimate" and less SF oriented too. Like, take her to a hotel room and really open up to each other, followed by laughing/playing together. In other words, it's not always an SF solution--could be that you create a memory in which you walk into a hotel room and think warm, cuddly, smooshy thoughts.

Oy--I'm tired. And I've got cattle rustling in the morning!

Oh Bob, it's ok really. It's all aprt of the human condition doncha know. I like Faith's recommendation ... but I know how hard it is. I read another thread yesterday (no it was a betrayal of Idiotville ... no it wasn't ... I was trying to see if I could help anyone else on the boards .... hahahaha ... what was I thinking), anyway - someone wrote that they really had triggers bad up until like 6 months after D-day and into recovery. They did become lessened with the acceptance of recovery and all the work (that is so worth it!) that was being done. But unfortunately, they are gonna happen. I have to choke down bad feelings almost daily, I have to go to work (and well *WE* all work there - Remember??). Then I say to myself - "Self?!?!" - I can't let this bite my a** everyday - that was then and this now (I hope!). As long as there is still hope, there is still HOPE!!!!! And from hope builds faith ..... the faith bone's connected to the trust bone ... the trust bone's connected to the safe bone .... the safe bone's connected to the recovery bone .... etc. (And yes I am singing in my head !!!! Dem bones!!! (lalalala -hahaha).

Ah to be my head (hehehehehe).

I've been working in London for a couple of days being shouted at 'cos our business isn;t doing well <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="images/icons/frown.gif" />

we're doing OK, though its hard to measure without a precedent.

I spent my first night away from Squid since we started recovery , it was strange. Saddening.

I couldn't do what you service folks do for many reasons, but being apart from loved ones particularly. I bet you're looking forward to coming home at Christmas !!!!!!!!!!

Squid's guiltier and sadder by the day. My sadness comes and goes but I even have occasional happiness which is a new sensation !!

But we're doing " OK". Very well in act really.

Squids going for a job as a driving instructor tomorrow - I'm not sure that I know all the reasons for her urgency to return to paid employment. I know she would have left me if she or OM had been employed, so theres a dark thought at the back of my head but ALSO I know SHE knows she has too much time on her hands and filled it with Karate (and OM).

We'll see, we've agreed to POJA the job.
