Robby - if I can't give up...can I quit trying so damn hard?

I'm tired of being the only one *really* trying. He says he's trying...tho his exact words are less than comforting, "I'm here aren't I?"....doesn't it just make you feel warm and fuzzy at the prospect???? I mean, a girl hears that and thinks, "Yep. I'm a princess. I'm precious. I'm worth keeping and worth fighting for." Right? I mean, that's what you all *feel* when you hear them, right?

:sigh: Prada...I love Prada. De, if they are not prada, are they at least Coach, Gucci??

I am now officially divorced.

The casuallness of it makes me want to vomit. People were cracking jokes, blech...took less than 5 minutes to legally "dissolve" something that took us 10 years to build.

And just for the record, idiotville is not just for laughs...

Dear Lord,
So far today, I am really proud of my behavior. I have not cursed, not gossiped, have been peaceful, kind. I have not been angered by anyone, have not considered sinning,

BUT,

I am about to get out of bed for the day, and in a few minutes, will NEED A LOT OF HELP!!

Hi! I'm back from the dr. - Have to go tomorrow and get blood drawn. I hate that.

He renewed my ADs and all my other medicines. So I shall be calm cool and collected for a few more months.

Still raining. Creeks are rising out of their banks. When I was a kid, we'd walk down the railroad track to the trestle and watch the water rush under the trestle. We'd see the most interesting things float by. Limbs and trees, of course, but some household items that had probably been dumped in a creek to get rid of them. Lots of bottles. I always wanted to put a note in one and throw it in, but I never did. Sometimes a big log would float by with a rabbit on it or a snake. I always picked up rocks and threw them in. My parents always took me - I think they liked it, too. Usually this happened when the flooding had closed the road to our house in both directions. If they hadn't cancelled school, my dad would carry me on his back across the trestle to my grandmother's house so I could catch the school bus. I used to take my boys when they were little so they could enjoy it, too. When I built my house, I wanted to make sure I could sit at the windows and watch the flood. This one is going to be a big one - The water is already 25 to 30 feet out from the creek, and I predict it will hit the treeline (about 300 or 350 feet) in a couple of hours. The deer will be displaced, and will wander uphill, and we might see more than usual.

Well, better go. will check back a little later.

I’m an Idiot, ‘member? I’m sure smarter folks will jump in, but in the meantime there are some plan thingies on MB that may be of help to you.

You probably weren’t trying to make me laugh, and maybe I shouldn’t have, but I did… Nio’s quote of “I’m here aren’t I?” brought memories of a thought I’ve had lately. I think it would be great if I had one of those UN earpieces when I talk to my W. That way the translator could tell me what she meant when she talks and help me articulate and appropriate pre-translated response. We could make a fortune!!

I can’t tell you if he meant you’re a princess, precious, etc. but the possibility is there… especially if he used a seething tone… that would, IMO, show the presence of shame and guilt. He seems to be motivated by the fear of loss so maybe a little less trying could be in order…

The preceding message should not be construed as advice. Any similarities to actual advice is purely coincidental.

Nio: "I am here aren't I?"

Translation: Krrhhh "Um, De, that could be translated as saying "I AM A [censored], over." krhhhh.

De: "Nio, I could be wrong, but I am thinking you are really saying you are a class A [censored], right."

Yes...I could see it. I could probably make a killing being a translator.

So many career options, The A team, A translations (Pep could be the CEO), and Idiotville PR manager.

I am probably moving from idiotville, to Divorceville. Or at least, establishing a second residence there!

NG, have you thought about plan B, there will be no cake eating for him then, and maybe this will wake him up. Also, see above Robby's quote, kind of goes for me too, I'm just an Idiot, but really pulling for you.

RH, so your dad fed the family pig testicles??? OMG!!!

I suck at staying away from MB/Idiotville.

I love you gals and guys!!!

I just do plain old cornbread dressing (but mine is the best in the world!!! quiet! don't argue)

I saw Emeril do an interesting stuffing yesterday. It even had some fruit in it. Go to foodtv.com and you'll probably find several. Also that Southern Lady on there did a fabulous one with mushrooms. I think she's Paula Dean. Should be on the web site.

My aunt used to do a wonderful wild rice stuffing. I don't know if I have the recipe, though. I'll look and see.

My pet peeve for the week: Why do I go to the store and buy a nice fat hen and it doesn't have giblets inside? How can you make giblet gravy if there are no giblets?!?!?!?!?

Edited to add: I just can't put up my Christmas tree before Thanksgiving. My year would be totally messed up and I wouldn't know what day it was any more.
