Hey Major !

Keep that warm weather goin' for next month when we get to Miami and the Keys OK ?

We are always something of a spectacle to the locals when we swim and sunbathe while locals are wrapped up in coats ! In Marathon, 75 degrees is unseasonably nippy I am told !

I love Fla in winter. I'd sure need A/C in summer tho' ! English folks actually MELT when the heat hits ninety !

mmm I could use a blueberry pancakes and corned beef hash breakfast with a couple of eggs and toast right now...for LUNCH !

LOL! You know English folks don't tip ! Service is so universally terrible in Britain we don't tip!

( well I do, but I travel a lot !). We took Squids sisters' family to Fort Myers with us a couple of christmasses ago and you should've seen their faces when I tipped 25% for great service for our table of eight in a smashing fish eatery !!

Lordy I could manager a blackened grouper sandwich with fried okra now too. *slurp*.

ooo I know ! I know ! * claps * Crabcakes !

You CAN'T get great crabcakes in the UK. * tsk *.

I'm hungry now ! I'll have to take Squid out for lunch ! LOL ! * My Squid that is not calamari !

Don't forget the Stone crab claws!!

They're in season, ya know!!

Where are you staying in Marathon?

I'll have champagne & strawberries sent up for you and squid one morning!

I love the keys! Wait, I love Florida!!

We've only been here for a bit over a year (from Ohio) so the * cold * weather doesn't bother us much, yet!

Robby we stay HERE with our adopted Aunty Susan and Uncle Chuck.
Its twenty times as wonderful as it looks. Very simple but great.

We're spending the first four days in Miami at the doubletree guest suites near the airport. Not so characterful but very convenient for exploring Miami !

* sigh * can't wait.

Have a great day everybody. Jelly

P.S.
Believer, how very rewarding for you, what a blessing you are to those people you are helping. Hats off to you.

Geez.

Groan.

Must..

Poke...

Mental....

Eye......

Out........

ROBBY! Whatever you do, don't bend over to pick up that paperclip.............

Dipilitories are a must, too, darling. Really.

(singing and humming to myself)

Mississippi mare is long and lean
The color of the sun
And her eyes are green
She's got the looks and he's got the love
There never was a horse like the Tennessee stud

I know I've got the words wrong, but I love that song....haven't heard it in a long time.

Good things happened at the casa. Best in almost two years. HE TALKED TO ME. NOT GRUNTED OR GROWLED OR SAT SULLENLY WHILE I TRIED TIME AFTER TIME TO GET HIM TO TELL ME SOMETHING....He talked to me.

(switching song)

Santa baby slip a sable under the tree
For me
Been an awfully good girl
Santa honey, shimmy down the chimney for me

Oh, I hope this is the start of something good! Would it be overkill to send hime an email telling him how I feel?

- Kimmy

That's just the thing Robby. I didn't initiate the talk HE did. I was gonna take the advice and back off a bit. HE turned off the TV and said, "We need to talk." "Oh ****," thinks myself....(sorry mods, trying to clean up my potty mouth...I mean fingers....or mouths....whatever, sorry, but it WAS the first thing that popped into my head).

Then we TALKED. About him, about me. About what we need from each other. This might be the best holidays in about 2-3 years. We'll see. I don't know about him, but I'm a helluva lot more relaxed. I slept all thru the night last night...not one bad dream. My bags have turned into wallets. Maybe by tomorrow they'll just be change purses.

So maybe it should be:

Way to go Ni-oh
Way to go!

What? No comments about "*** *******"? That was said in my very best nasally Karen from Will and Grace voice.

here's the song. I was singing it all wrong:

Tennessee Stud

Along about eighteen twenty five
I left Tennessee very much alive
And I never woulda got through the Arkansas mud,
If I hadn't been a ridin' that Tennessee Stud.

I had some trouble with my sweetheart's Paw
And one of her brothers was a bad outlaw
I sent her a letter by my Uncle Fudd
Then I rode away on the Tennessee Stud.

The Tennessee Stud was long and lean
The color of the sun and his eyes were green
He had the nerve and he had the blood
And there never was a hoss like The Tennessee Stud

We drifted on down into no man's land
We crossed that river called the Rio Grande
I raced my hoss with a Spaniard's foal,
'Til I got me a skin full of silver and gold.

Me and the gambler we couldn't agree
We got in a fight over Tennessee
We jerked our guns and he fell with a thud
And I got away on the Tennessee Stud.

The Tennessee Stud was long and lean
The color of the sun and his eyes were green
He had the nerve and he had the blood
And there never was a hoss like The Tennessee Stud

Well, I got just as lonesome as a man can be
A-dreamin' of my girl in Tennessee
The Tennessee Stud's green eyes turned blue
'Cause he was A dreamin' of a sweetheart too

We loped right back across Arkansas
I whooped her brother and I whooped her Paw
When I found that girl with the golden hair
She was a ridin' on a Tennessee Mare
(Whoa Boy)

The Tennessee Stud was long and lean
The color of the sun and his eyes were green
He had the nerve and he had the blood
And there never was a hoss like The Tennessee Stud

Stirrup to stirrup and side by side
We crossed them mountains and the valleys wide
We came to big muddy and we forded the flood,
On the Tennessee Mare and the Tennessee Stud.

There's a pretty little baby on the cabin floor
A little hoss colt layin' 'round the door
I love that girl with the golden hair
And the Tennessee stud loves the Tennessee Mare
(they's good horses)

The Tennessee Stud was long and lean
The color of the sun and his eyes were green
He had the nerve and he had the blood
And there never was a hoss like The Tennessee Stud

That's a right purdy song. They should play it today, I think....on my ride home, on the "mouldy oldies."

DD = I loved that song, too, when I was growing up. Still makes me happy. As for "Santa Baby" my semi professional women's choir is doing it on our concert in December. We are having lots of fun with it.

I am so glad you had a good evening. I hope it holds up for you forever. Sincerely.

RH - did you see my reply? It's back one page.

Robby, sounds like a great outfit, but it really depends on the shape of your derrierre. Heart shaped ones just don't work well in Daisy Dukes. However, those with a nice tight full moon on both sides look great!! That's why women like full length mirrors - to get the full view objectively.

Have a great day, y'all.
