TT is English - she's said it quite a few times.

LINY I can't believe you don't know where . lives.

Robby takes great pleasure in teasing me about it constantly. Our total population is 4 million and we have twice as many sheep.

I'm a New Zealander (from New Zealand obviously) which most Americans had never heard of until the America's Cup and Lord of the Rings. And we still get confused with Australia all the time - which is like calling an American a Canadian.

OK, . , I gave you the opp for the 1700th post, but, too slow on the keyboard!

Have a great day, and to all of my friends in Idiotville, have a great Friday and weekend!

KY (not sure of when you said you'd be getting back), but I promise I will write to you and ST over the weekend! (May have to go into work Sat., but I *will* respond!)

OK, I'm feeling sheepish! I guess you're alittle quicker than I thought!

. , reread my post! I KNOW you are from NZ!!! Even mentioned it in a few of my posts!

Hmmmm....bands from NZ...Split Enz/Crowded House. And I think a punk ( ) band called the Dolls, not to be confused with the New York Dolls, of course! That's all I could come up with! What do you do for music?!?!?!?!?

LINY, we love Crowded House/Split Enz. The Finn boys are HEROES in NZ.

We listen to the Stones, all the old Blues guys (Robert Johnson etc), Fleetwood Mac (before the girls) although I like the girls, the Who - all the old (good, not bubblegum) 70s stuff.

Can't you tell we're REALLY old?

My son plays in a straight edge band. Straight edge I think began in NY. When son's favourite band (Sick of it all - don't you love the names) was here they asked him if he'd like to be a stage techie for them in the States. But love of his life (a lovely, lovely girl) is here doing pre-med school so here he stays, living with us and freeloading to beat the band.

Hey RIF!!!

Sorry . , I got sidetracked reading this dilemma/soap opera/sit from TA. Seems to be creating a stir (mainly in In Recovery.) I want to say WTF?, but don't want to be judgemental. I'm very detail oriented and fact is, there are alot of inconsistencies in his story. Gotta go with KB there. (The one that stood in my mind the most is that he's gone to Catholic school, but never read a bible. HUH?!?!?!?.) Whatever the reason he is here for, however you slice it, he is a very troubled person.

RIF, take it easy. A special "Thanks" to you on this Thanksgiving Day!

LINY, I've given up on the TA thing.

BTW I'm back. Son has gone out, H doesn't mind me having some computer time.

Too inconsisent for me. What really got me was when he said he was a financial planner and could help anyone on the board. And that was just after he said how devastated he was by his w. None of it adds up.

WTF indeed.

LIT, I saw you. You lurked and didn't post.

That is against all Idiot rules and regulations and I will be having a very high powered meeting with the Mayor tomorrow to discuss this subversive behaviour of yours.

Has anyone else noticed that new people come and have a look at Idiotville as soon as they arrive on the board. Whatever do you think they think.

"Who ARE these people" I should imagine.

Jen

Legal edit for bad language. Sorry.

Hey my little .'s new mother

I read about LINY's comment on TA, and I went to check the thread. I thought there might be another update or inconsistency since the last "round" he endured......wanted to see, since I posted to him this morning...

Still trying to make my own judgement....my gut tells me to be cautious

Anyway, it's actually 1:48am here.....had an interesting night with my childhood friend's brother (spend T-day at their house - friend was not there, but they have been a 2nd family to me for years).

Brother decided to confess his love for me tonight. Very uncomfortable. I told him I was not in any position to date, think about dating, or even remotely entertain the idea of thinking about dating. I told him I was grieving my M, and that I must go through that. Of course, his reply was "forget that loser"

Just turned out to be a very odd night.

Hope everyone had lots of food, happiness, and love today!

Gosh LIT, did you know the friend's brother felt like that about you.

My DD (24) has a new theory about men which is a tad on the cynical side.

I've pointed out to her that neither her brother nor her father are "typical" men and, I hasten to add, neither are the men on this board.

About 10 years ago (prior to my dating STBX), Friend's brother came home drunk, and said he "liked" me. But then the next day, he said that he didn't really feel that way - was just drunk.

He never said anything again all these years, so I just dismissed it as what he said. I am pretty sure he was drunk again tonight. So I'm not really sure how real it was, but he gave me a 20 minute confession of his feelings. I do care about him, but only in a brotherly way. Ugh. Just don't really know how to handle him. I just tried to be honest.....in hopes that he would understand.

Apparently he hasn't gotten the message, as he just called again now...2:07am, and he called. I chose not to anser....

Ick.

I think I will head to bed. Good night Kiwi! Good night my little "."!

Good night Idiotville!
