LINY I assumed this :
It's just a key word for me and my/our recovery.
meant you copped a trigger.

regarding easting elephants I windered if you had any one of your challenges whipped yet 'stead of taking bites out of all of them.

I only posted that in case you're like me : I fight best on one front at a time - Don't want to be Hitler when he chose to take on the allies and the russians at the same time !I try to nock down one domino and see how many others drop as a result!

LINY - 1776! wow! I keep waiting for my prizes for starting a new page or hitting a certain number, but I haven't seen anything yet...

AW -
quote:
I'm not exactly a cotton wool dolly you know

he he he... sounds like you're describing a sheep! Idiots all!!!

like they said in the movies..I'm baaaack...lol

hey cricket score is Australia declared for 575 runs, & NZ is 2 wickets for 49 runs.
Boy if I wasn't nauseous, tired and puking up anything but plain food I'd drink a beer or two by crikey.

LINY no need to run, nope I can throw a mean ball he he he and I lov the Irish being of Irish family, is it the Gael you be havin??? LOL Mmmmm Guinness (in Homers voice)

Hey Bob & everyone if you promise not to snitch on me I'll tell you a secret about Aussie and his entertainment days - forced on him after having a broken leg & being on sick leave for 20 weeks - talk about Butch & Sundance heh heh.
Well you see he joined a bush band with some old school friends and as he couldn't play the triangle let alone anything else he ended up lead singer and they called themselves The Mucky Duck Bush Band...LOL ..butch indeed!!

Should have seen him with long hair & beard like Ned Kelly - snigger snigger - I mean he actually wasn't bad at all and they put out about 4 albums and made a bit of $$$ and went on for a few years after he had to go back on duty , but its a secret so SSHhhhh he gets all embarrassed about it now, you know get a haircut & get a real job kinda thing..sniggger

Hey I even think I have a mp3 file of a song they did... 'The Band played Watlzing Matilda' if you wanna hear it

Of course I could have done without the local groupies with little or nothing on

Ok nightshift... (especially you Brits & Aussies!) What the heck is a "Sticky Wicket"... I'm assuming that this is a cricket term or something...

I've heard this saying all my life and never knew what it is/or means...

RIF,

Perhaps I can be of service:

Cricket, brought by settlers from England to the United States, was one of the most popular games in the United States in the nineteenth century. It is played by two teams on a large field in the center of which are two wickets 66 feet apart. Each wicket consists of three sticks topped by two short bails that fit into grooves on the top of the sticks. The wickets are bases for the opposing team's batsmen. The bowler, similar to the baseball pitcher, bowls a ball overhand towards the opposite wicket. The ball usually takes a bounce or "pitch" at the wicket. If the pitch knocks the bails off the wicket or hits the batsman in front of the wicket the batsman is out. Batsmen can also be declared out by having a hit ball caught in the air by a bowler. The batsman or "striker" at this wicket tries to hit the ball away from the fielders of the opposing team so he can exchange places with his team's batsman at the other wicket thereby scoring a run. Still a popular sport in Great Britain, cricket was overtaken by baseball as a popular sport in the United States.

MEANING 1: to have trouble hitting the ball through a wicket
SENTENCE 1: I can't seem to get my ball through that sticky wicket.

MEANING 2: to be difficult or troublesome
SENTENCE 2: Cynthia is a sticky wicket. She won't give me the files on that project.

AW, first of all, shame on you for sneaking out of bed especially after your DD tucked you in all nice! (Isn't it the end of summer/beginning of fall for you? If so, what the heck are you coming down with?!?!?)

Second, now I'm gonna haveta go on "napster" and search for the Mucky Duck Band!!

RIF...You're real "prize" is 13 days away, friend. You've certainly earned it! I'm feeling excited for ya!

Bob: jury is still out on multi-tasking! But, I think triggers are sorta good. They keep things real and in perspective. I guess just like with anything in life, it's how you handle them. I'm still new at this honesty thing, and I'm just learning, but it feels real good. I haven't felt this good in a real long time! (And that's with all of the bull that we've been having to deal with ontop of "this." (i.e. my car died Wednesday--really can't do anything with it. Just have to do the best with one car--which is also dying a slow death.)) Getting back to the squishy feeling (no mayor, you do NOT get a royalty for that), what's hundred times better? Brown is feeling good too. She's learning how to trust me again, and for once in my damn life I'm coming through for her! It's a start, huh?'

Well, all, gotta sleep. Veru tired and have ta spend as much time as I can with the girls!!!!

CRICKET: That jumping insect that seems to chirp when one is just fading away into lala land, mainly in the summer months; has a harsh crunching sound when stepped on; can still jump fairly well with only one leg; not too good jumping with no legs.

Hey CJ - Thanks for the info! I think I've seen them play this game on ESPN 2 after the international Turtle Hurling Championships are over... he he he... (sorry AW & Bob) but if it's not bass fishing or NASCAR or college footbal (U.S. Footbal, not soccer!), then I don't usually watch it...

LINY - CRICKET: Makes great bait for bream, catfish and bass...
