Well I know I'm biased but I love both.
Can't beat Aussie Rules for a fast game and pure brutal skill, but Union comes very close.
Have to say I lov Rugby Union better than Rugby League (which is more like Amer football) as its faster.
I mean I can enjoy Amer football except when they bog down into set plays and get Soooo slow.
Rugby Union would translate really well as it is played on much the same size field but is go go go.

Oh yeah ever been hit by a baseball?? Well the cricket ball is similar but a lot heavier and it HURTS.
When I was a youngster - stop counting RIF - my brother and cousins & I used to play hit ball. You know, throw the ball at someone & hit them them they have to do the same while running around the neighbourhood. Ow it hurts.
of course so did the kick in the you know what when you missed and broke a window..lol
oh well kids will be kids.
Had to stop last year as the insurance wouldn't pay for it any more he he he Just joking

The rugby interntionals are run every 2 years sponsored by investec. Its where th ebest southern hemisphere national teams tour the north. Nothing at stake except IRB league points which makes a difference when the next world cup is seeded. Oh and a LOT of national pride ! The Aussies haven't won at Twickenham ( Englands HQ) for four years now. England won the world cup final last year against Australia in a thrilling game, but most of ENglanbds best players retired or went injure right afterwards. A weakened side was slaughtered by Australia during teh summer tour, and to be honest the Aussies deserved better opposition. England got a new head coach, and has retired all but 4 of teh team that won the world cup last year and they really gelled playing South Sfrica last week ( SA are a major force in world rugby and cricket - in fact they just won the Southern hemisphere rugby cup - the tri nations). I have high hopes of a good game - a fiery young England team with a lot to prove against a pride-damaged and highly skilled Australia today. Gotta go buy paint first ! Better get a move on ! A Martin guitar, and a 1978 Les Paul Standard! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" /> Bob, I don't know if you know this, but Martin does make a guitar that is accessible to the public. For example, I have an old 1980 Martin DM (Series 1 or 1-series...something like that), steel string, sweet tone--and in 1980 I think I paid oh $700 or so. Now, I believe they are about $900 and while that's nothing to sneeze at, it's not unattainable. 1978 Les Paul Gibson, huh?? Cute! What kind of finish does it have? Factory black, or that nice tobacco burst?? What kind of pickups have ya got on that thing?? What amps and whatnot do you play it with?? OOOOOO, ya gotta love that smoot Les Paul sound. One thing I do wonder though...how do you get Bob Mould's screaming mimis out of a lovely Les Paul?? You must play the SHORTS off that thing!!!
