Yep on it, just reading confused now inf act to get a handle on it.

Hey RIF 2 days to go or less now??? WOwo bet you cant wait till you get those arms from all the girls wrapped around your neck, especially your great wife!! Hug them heaps RIF!!

Oh RIF, got time for a very quick question? Now I have been a Mil w for years but never ran into this and I wondered if its something you've run into.
Late today, just after I got home at 6 pm I got a call from the Army family support unit and was asked to attend an urgent meeting tomorrow. IS something going on do you think? I mean its certainly not usual.
I rang the wife of one of Aussies men who said she & others have also ben asked to attend??
Is it weird or some way to tell us something important?? just seems so odd.??????

Hey AW - 2 days and a wake-up!!! Then a couple days on various airplanes and I'll be home!

I really don't have any idea what the special meeting could be... I left active duty in 1997 and have been in the reserves since then. Our reserve unit tries to have a monthly conference call with all the wives, but most of them (mine included) don't usually call in.

I suspect that they have some news about the unit that they want to pass on that they don't feel comfortable with doing over the phone (Operational Security and all that...)

Now, having said that, my first thought is that they're probably going to tell you that they are coming home early, or they are staying longer...

The military likes to keep those things pretty hush-hush so they wouldn't just blab away over the phone... I do hope that it will be to tell you guys that the unit is coming home earlier than expected!

Please let us know what the news it...

Semper Fi,
RIF

Brown: Sorry for the drive by posting. We have dial up at home, and they just did away with the free phone answering service (buzme and callwave) recently, so I had to get on, get what I wanted and get off. You know how 16 yo girls need to talk to their boyfriends. Well, we're going through that now. Otherwise, we're doing well.

Starz: So you're a teacher too (on top of Farmer/business woman)? Wow! The party I went to was put on by a consultant that works for me. Kind of a nice reward for the work we give him? Not really, but they really put out a nice spread! Concerts will be done in a week or two and then you can rest or at least focus your energies on something else.

BP: Enjoy your time in Fla. Say hello to Robby for all of us if you swing by his place on the way to South Fla. Also, if you start that driving school my D could possibly use some lessons. She doesn't take well to directions from pop.

JellyBing: How's Realityville? Nice to see you stop by even if it's not as frequent as before. You're still the Queen (and I'll bet ST knows it).

RIF: Everyone reminding you of how much time till you leave, I'm sure it doesn't make it go any faster; but it'll be here and back before you know. So just savor it all and make yourself plenty of memories to tide yourself over until April/May!

Everyone else: {{{{{hugs to all}}}}}

In truth that is why I left the boards, it exhausted me.

Jelly, watch what you say because I know your real age and might tell Robby. And I've been known to use some nice graphics programs as well. J/K
