oh my that song was fun but I then um, well, ,, I feel asleep again!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" />
It wasn't the singing you know honest, I just closed my eyes for a moment & it was , well later already. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />
So I am feeling so good I'm gonna be a bit cheeky .....
We all know those cute little computer symbols called, "emoticons," where:
<img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" /> means a smile and
<img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="images/icons/frown.gif" /> is a frown. Sometimes these are represented by
:-) and
:-( respectively
Well, how about some, "assicons"? Here goes:
(_!_) a regular [censored] (__!__) a fat [censored]
(!) a tight [censored]
(_*_) a sore [censored]
{_!_} a swishy [censored]
(_o_) an [censored] that's been around
(_x_) kiss my [censored]
(_X_) leave my [censored] alone
(_zzz_) a tired [censored]
(_E=mc2_) a smart [censored]
(_$_) Money coming out of his [censored]
(_?_) Dumb [censored]
.oo*"""**oo.oo*""*oo... oo*" "*o.o*" "*o. o o *o o o o o o o o o o o \o/ o o --O-- o o. /o\ o o o o o o o o o oo oo o oo oo. oo oo 'ooo. oo o oo o ""oo,, ,,oO-'Oo, ,,,,,oo"o o. """""" oo """"" o
You have just been e-mooned! Happy e-mooning!!! hehehehehehehehe <small>[ December 09, 2004, 11:31 AM: Message edited by: aussieswife ]</small>

AW - That is GREAT!!!! We can slip right under the mods' radar.
Unfortunately the rest of the Idiots are still singing. Yikes - I'll never ask them to sing here again. They just get too carried away.

Don't worry FF. As long as it makes you happy, do it. Singing is like most other art forms - the more you do it the better you get.

FL, this is for you....
No apologies For who I'm meant to be The only thing that matters is I am free When I am overwhelmed Holding pieces of my heart When I feel my world Start to fall apart
To the cross I run Holding high my chains undone Now I am finally free Free to be what I've become Undone
Even in defeat The face of tragedy Still you'd have to say that I found victory In brokenness comes beauty Divine fragility Reminding me of nail scarred hands Reaching out for me
To the cross I run Holding high my chains undone Now I am finally free Free to be what I've become
To the cross I run Holding high my chains undone Now I am finally free Free to be what I've become Undone
Hallelujah I'm undone!
To the cross I run Holding high my chains undone Now I am finally free Free to be what I've become
To the cross I run Holding high my chains undone Now I am finally free Free to be what I've become Undone
To the cross I run To be what I've become And I'm undone Undone by Mercy Me

see this is what i mean, how can anyone possibly really keep up with this thread!!! i am finally in the office and had to read 5 pages worth. i foget what i read now!! except i do recall aussie is coming home, that is great news and RIF is all ready to come home, that is great news and Robby and his wife took son to santa and that is great news too!
i guess i am perking up too. I don't want to make it hard on my H to say what he needs to say, look at what he needs to look at or feel what he needs to feel, but it is IMPOSSIBLE for me to not feel bad when it happens.
he told me before i left that he is feeling better, he wishes that i had deleted the stuff before, i told him again, i didn't think about it, at work this stuff just happens automatically, it's not like i set it up and i just don't think about it. he said it was good to see that everything he saw completely syncs up with what i have told him, so that is a blessing. i again reminded him about how i did throw away all the CDs the OM had burned for me as well as the 2 dave matthews band t-shirts he gave me. i don't want to hold on to anything, reading some of that old stuff just turned my stomach.
so it was not fun, but i believe i can look at it now and say, it was OK. he survived, I survived, in fact i think i did pretty well by not wanting to run off and hide or in any other way not take responsibility for his hurt.
thanks FF for those lyrics. Robby, make yourself useful and go get a link for that song. i didn't go near your other happy dance link.
ok, did i cover everything??

FL - Hope this doesn't hurt as it isn't meant too. Just I'm going through some issues all over again. I don't know if it really holds or not, but if you see my other thread today, I got a call from OMW. So, here it is, do you still ever see OM around town/work/whatever? If so, do you have a desire to wave to him? Guess, I'm trying to figure out what was going on inside the W's head before I ask her. Sorry.

FL hope you are feeling great. I feel happy & sad and a bit anxious about the future in many ways.
I logged onto the mil support site to tell the good news and there was this new post which explains so much about those who serve. It realy struck a nerve I hope it gives and gave comfort to some who have lost their husbands, brothers, lovers, sons or friends, because they are always that you know to someone. A Casualty is a REAL person who had hopes and dreams ...
And I'm not ashamed to say I cried just a little
Well, how are ya, Private Willie McBride, its just y’ mate Jack D'you mind if I sit down here by your graveside? I'll rest for awhile in the warm summer sun, Been walking all day, Lord, and I'm nearly done. by your gravestone I remember you were only nineteen When you joined the fallen in this last lot of fighting, I hope you died quick and I hope you died "clean," Or, Willie McBride, was it slow and obscene?
Did they beat the drum slowly, did they sound the fife lowly? Did the rifles fire o'er ye as they lowered ye down? Did the bugles sing "The Last Post" in chorus? Did the pipes play the "Flowers O' The Forest"?
And did you leave a wife or a sweetheart behind In some faithful heart is your memory enshrined? And, though you died back in last summer, To that loyal heart are you forever nineteen? Or are you a stranger, without even a name, Forever enshrined behind some glass pane, In an old photograph, torn and tattered and stained, And fading to yellow in a brown leather frame?
Did they beat the drum slowly, did they sound the fife lowly? Did the rifles fire o'er ye as they lowered ye down? Did the bugles sing "The Last Post" in chorus? Did the pipes play the "Flowers O' The Forest"?
Well, the sun's shining down on these sandy fields The warm wind blows gently, the red poppies dance. The trenches have vanished long under the plow; No gas and no barbed wire, no guns firing now. But here in this graveyard it's still No Man's Land; The countless white crosses in mute witness stand To man's blind indifference to his fellow man.
Did they beat the drum slowly, did they sound the fife lowly? Did the rifles fire o'er ye as they lowered ye down? Did the bugles sing "The Last Post" in chorus? Did the pipes play the "Flowers O' The Forest"?
And a whole generation who are being butchered and damned. And I can't help but wonder now, Willie McBride, Do all those who lie here know why they died? Did you really believe them when they told you "the cause?" Did you really believe that FINALLY this war would end wars? Well the suffering, the sorrow, the glory, the shame, The killing, the dying, it was all done in vain, For Willie McBride, it's all happened again, And again, and again, and again, and again.
My dear friend weeping, this is Willie McBride, Today I speak to you across the divide Of years and of distance, of life and of death, Please let me speak freely with my silent breath. You might think me crazy, you might think me daft, I could have stayed back in Australia, where there wasn't a draft, But my parents they raised me to tell right from wrong, So today I shall answer what you asked in your song.
Yes, they beat the drum slowly, they played the pipes lowly, And the rifles fired o'er me as they lowered me down, The band played "The Last Post" in chorus, And the pipes played "The Flowers of the Forest."
Ask the people of Kabul or all Afghanistan, If my life was wasted, if I died only in vain. I think they will tell you when all's said and done, They welcomed this boy with his tin hat and gun. And call it ironic that I was cut down, While in Dublin my kinfolk were fighting the Crown. But in Dublin or Stan the cause was the same: To resist the oppressor, whatever his name.
Yes, they beat the drum slowly, they played the pipes lowly, And the rifles fired o'er me as they lowered me down, The band played "The Last Post" in chorus, And the pipes played "The Flowers of the Forest."
It wasn't for Queen or just for Country I died, It wasn't for glory or the lost Empire's pride. The reason I went was both simple and clear: To stand up for freedom did I volunteer. It's easy for you to look back and sigh, And pity the youth of these days now gone by, For us who were there, we knew why we died, And I'd do it again, says Willie McBride. : Yes, they beat the drum slowly, they played the pipes lowly, And the rifles fired o'er me as they lowered me down, The band played "The Last Post" in chorus, And the pipes played "The Flowers of the Forest."
Well the suffering, the sorrow, the glory, the shame, The killing, the dying, NO it was not done in vain, And yes I know, it's all happening again, And again, and again, and again, and again

I gotta quit reading for awhile. OY! I've got a sinus headache and my eyeballs hurt!
I'm ready to go home and take a hot, steamy shower. Maybe that'd help my cabaza.

It figures. I go out doing community concerts today and all of Idiotville is singing and I MISSED IT!! I could have conducted!!
Still haven't been able to keep up much and post - too much going on - and IB is colder than ever !!
Must go work with kids for a few minutes - I'll hang around for about 45 minutes, but usually at this time of day everyone's gone. Where do you guys go all afternoon? Do you have a real life or something? I am jealous if you do.
Is there anyone besides me who hasn't done any Christmas shopping? Don't all speak at once (said the threadkiller)

Hello all idiots,
I never posted here before but just wanted to drop in and say hi to all.... I can't quite face all the pain on the board today and also can't quite face starting work just yet..
I'm procrastinating today.
Anyway, I thought, I'll just read something a bit more uplifting than all of this PAIN PAIn PAin, and what do I do, I come here and read AW's Eric Bogle song!! That made me cry! But glad to hear that Aussie is safe and well and coming home!
