RH - Well, I have found out that the key to job success is being flexible, making the best of it, and then being willing to move on. Sometimes again, and again, and again.
I know that is not what you wanted to hear.

Ok, second idiot thing, done recently, lol i really felt dumb during this, neighbors were watching to lol
I was putting our horse back in his stall and I took off his halter, I took it off a little to soon and he decided he wanted to go back outside, well Im not that big a horse person and trying to "coax" him back in the barn took about an hour of me looking the other way whistling while I try to get close enough to throw this rope around him. Freakin horse was playing with ME, hed wait and then take off, hed jerk his head at the right time to avoid the rope, he even laid down and started rolling until I got close once.
Bet it looked funny me trying to sneak up on this horse and act like "hey, c'mere horse, I wont do nuttin I promise"
He finally had enough of me I guess and went in on his own <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="images/icons/mad.gif" />

An idiot thing to say.
So, thus, I will say it again.

Well I've been busy killing a thread over in Recovery so I thought I'd come back to the impossible to kill, or even wound, Idiotville.
Believer, I've been thinking all day about whether I have a major character flaw. I didn't for 47 years but maybe I always have and it only came out under severe stress. (When my F, FIL and MIL all passed away within a year.) My MC is of the opinion that I needed very badly to grow up and become mature.
I feel I have grown up now and am so aware of the danger of following what "makes me happy" and being totally selfish (the character flaw) that I'm not at risk any more.
Interesting.

Jen -
I don't think it is a character flaw in the majority of the cases. I think EN's get met (like after a loss) and then - well you know the rest. I do think that the chemicals kick in, and then folks start acting out of character.
Now, where is everyone? I've been sick so I have an excuse to not be out having fun.

Thanks Believer.
I wonder if RIF will check in soon.
I hope AW and Aussie are doing fine too.

Me too. RIF said it would take 3 days, so he should be home.
I have a lot of faith in AW and Aussie being okay.

Jen I too am not sure that " doing what makes me happy" is more of a character flaw than it is an instinct. Mebbe with the right/wrong circumstances folks obey that instinct enough to override other personal boundaries hence affairs and other selfish behaviours but I think pretty much everyone HAS that instinct.
My Squid has a huge skipful of "I deserve whatever pleasure I can take, and not think of the consequences for others". Thats the hardest thing we must get past in recovery.
I have tolerated that for far too long. Avoided conflict over it. Its changing almost daily in Squid as we POJA pretty much everything, but its still there big style.
So much of her life is enjoyable to her at the expense of mine and the kids' happiness it will take a long time to uncouple all that and replace it with healthier pleasures.
Time an dpatience again, huh ?
I REALLY wish she'd read SAA or Torn Asunder though. But she still won't. Not yet.
Anyway, its my last day at work today till January 4th ! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" />
We have to pack and stuff ! Hee Hee ! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />

Hi Bob, I was just talking about you on Alone & Broken's thread.
Last day at work - cool. I still have a week to go. Then back to work on 5 Jan.
Are you going to meet up with any of the Fla MBers.
Wouldn't it be SO cool to all get together. All the Idiots in person. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" /> We could drink and basket weave together into the night.
