Only way to do it!!!!!!!
All we've got to get now is a "stocking filler" for DD because we've already given her a new mobile phone because she broke hers one night out partying and a really nice present for son's girlfriend because she's the sweetest thing on the planet.
I suggested "granny panties" because that's what my MIL used to give me. Bless her heart.

You just brought back a very funny--yet very warm memory(ies) about presents. My Great great grand Aunts (yes, three G's!!!) always gave us (I'm the baby of six) powder and soap etc. They were the best, though! The look on their faces in giving these gits to us, was so precious, innocent. They meant well, but didn't know. Anyway, I miss them. (They were twins; never married; died at age 96, amonth apart from each other. And now I'm missing my Dad too.)
*sigh*
I could tell you some very very cool stories about them and their lives!
Oh, and in answer to your question: I have no clue!

Ahhhhh Christmas.
We went to my Aunt's 90th birthday a couple of weeks ago.
She gave such a cool speech. She said:
"Life is wonderful. Don't just survive it, live it."
I got all teary eyed.
Is this site going to disappear or what?????? We've got floor waxing to do.
Actually, gotta go now. Time to face the crowds.

Liny, I've been thinking about your real name.
Try these ones. Sean or Patrick or Michael? Am I right?

Is this like Rumplestiltskin? except it is guess Liny's name? Jen, DD and I braved the crowds tonight. Yuck. Don't want to do that again, but we do have to grocery shop tomorrow.
What happened to the cleaning crew? Mayor are they so efficient we can walk on them while they wax? Who is the post master btw? I am searching my mailbox for Robby's card.
Going to bed. {{Iville}}

Thank goodness. I've been in withdrawal all day.

Have to finish preparations. I was reading your thread. Enjoy your Christmas with your family. Sounds like you are doing really well with your recovery. Merry Christmas!

Starz - Hi again. That was kinda hard going through all that withdrawal. I did get my presents wrapped and most of the stuff done for tomorrow.

You've won a cup of hot water a day for life. Should help you with your IB situation!
Ok, so the "melting an Ice Berg one cup of hot water at at time" was ark's thought, but it stuck!!

Sorry - I had to go cook and stuff.
One cup a day in addition to the ice pick Jelly gave me for Christmas should be a big help. I'll start on it right away.
One thing about withdrawal - I have baked 6 pies so far. Of course, my DS has already eaten two of them. These are sweet potato pies to die for. Also asked for a buttermilk pie - I guess he'll eat that one tomorrow before lunch!!! Yum.
I'm sure everyone else is off doing Christmas stuff. IB and S are upstairs watching a movie - I'm downstairs baking the last pie and watching "I am Sam." Supposed to be a tearjerker. Will do the Christmas thing tomorrow morning. Hope I can get my mother up and bathed and dressed in time to open presents. She can be really slow sometimes. But after all, she's 86 - will be 87 on the 27th. Hope I'm still kicking at that age. IB's mom and one of his brothers will be here in the morning. So it will be pleasant opening packages and sitting by the fireplace. I'm looking forward to it. Hope they all like what I bought them. Especially IB. It would be nice if he could be happy tomorrow.
Well, gotta go for a while. Will check back later, but I bet everybody's gone off looking for mistletoe or something.
I'll check back later. If I don't find any of you, Merry Christmas!

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE
good to see you all getting ready for Xmas day outings and visits.
Got back late from shopping last night, got the smoked ham & ducks & crayfish, prawns, fruits, drinks, stocking fillers for nieces & nephews, PC for son, phone & personal cd player + dvd player for daughter, hey have to use my long service pay on something.
A was weird at the baby shop though. I'd have to say his whole attitude is about the same as a stunned mullet is the way I would describe it. I was just pricing up the various shops but A was picking up various bits & pieces, baby baths & change tables, 2 prams, blankets and so I asked him why was he getting this now, he said don’t we need it?? No honey not until he or she is born, we have lots of time to look around...oh ok then, left the pile in the middle of the shop floor
Maybe should have just kept quiet and thanked him. Don’t know if I LB'ed there a little bit. Sometime I have to learn to leave well enough alone.
Asked Aussie what he would like for Xmas, he looked at me thoughtfully and said really can't think of much I want right now. Really for the kids. Mmmmm not sure what he was saying but not going to assume much. He’s always a bit ambivalent about Xmas. I'm really not sure what I can get him either so I got him some beer, the seafood, I was thinking of giving in and getting him a few Cuban cigars but I want him to give up smoking, he’s nearly there only smokes them Xmas, New Year & Easter. I bought him a couple.
Mum said I should rush down & buy a teddy from Victoria's Secrets and let me be his presy....LOL Mum just kills me sometimes
But it was not a bad idea at all!!
You’ll just have to guess the outcome of that one lol
