yeah we are so well off its one reason I dont want to leave, but will change from one Department to another..
Sick Leave is accrued FOREVER eg I have 4 yrs at full pay, I get Long Service Leave of 13 weeks every 7 years AND they transferred my credits from another State here as well so I am due another LSL next year too. have to lov the Union ya ya come on the CSA woo hoo.

AW - I have to laugh b/c most Americans think it's grand to work for the Gov't ... b/c of the hours and the pay ... they get their info from the evening news and that's about our congressmen and their salaries and the time they take off. They really don't know what is like for the "average" gov't employee. I get that all the time from our "customers". They don't know *WE* are just like them ... average joes with bills and kids and just trying to make it on an average (or below average) salary.

We're watching "Franklin" and they were all celebrating the "Arrival of the Beavers!!!!!"
(The epsiode was about the the 1st day of Spring and The Turtles were haveing flooding b/c of the thaw .... then the Beavers show up and everybody was sooooooo happy).
