Morning, Robby, RIF, Bob and AW.

AW how did you sleep? When I was pregos with DD, I had the most vivid nightmares and dreams. I usualy woke up more tired than when I went to bed. PLUS I had 9 months of morning sickness. THe last time was while I was in labour! I was able to clear a house faster than a fire alarm. I am not a quiet, how should I say this, uhhh "hurler" EEEWWWW!!

Robby, I'll have a double strength cappucinno with non fat milk, please. And a cheese bagel with cream cheese if there is one around (not too old).

WHEN ISN'T IT??????

WTH, I got edited. If I had said feet, would that have been better???? OUCH!

I see you all took my lead, instead of trying to clean it up, CONFORMIST!!!!

RH, tongue sharp as a tack?

Speaking of, let's talk MB principles for the on lookers who are skeptics of this thread.

ST's love language is Physical Touch, so last night I touched him in a way you can only pay for with a credit card, because no man has that kind of cash on hand!!!!

Hey, that is SF, therefore, MB.

How is everybody this morning????

Bob, family time is the best, isn't?

Ah, Yes, Robby. Toasted, please. Have you heard from AZ? Can you call them? My prayers include you today.

Has anyone here ever taken tae kwon do or other self-defense courses. How rigorous are they? My NY goal is to do more active things. I am chained to my pc both at work and at home. By choice, of course. So, between the Dragon Boating and the current gym stuff, I need something to round out the activities. Well, maybe Yoga for calmness would be better. BUt, I need to release that anger.

Any suggestions?

Okay, now this is freaky. I signed up for the free tarot reading and now get my daily horrorscope sent to my email. THis is what I got this morning:

quote:
VIRGO: You have something going on that isn't easy to share with others -- and you might choose to just keep it entirely to yourself. Even if you don't reveal the nature of your deep thoughts now, give yourself permission to explore them. Muster up the courage to go wherever they take you, for there are surprises in the darkness that can lead you back into the light.

And, my previous post was in line with my "deep" thoughts. Sheesh!

Morning all, no coffee for me. I enjoy the smell but not the taste. Never learned to like it.

RH, I don't like coffee either, but I think it smells yummy.

Blah, blah, blah!!!

Why so tired, ST keeping you up too? He has had pneumonia, he coughs, he wheezes, he gets up. I'm exhausted.

I ate a whole box of chocolates since CHristmas. (gift from SS) I might never look at it again. HA! WHo am I kidding?

I have chocolate in my coffee, I have chocolate in my milk and I even eat Nutella, a hazelnut and CHOCOLATE spread on my toast. I make the most awesome Belgian Chocolate Pecan Crust dessert, and my brownies are to die for. I have no room for any more.

BUt, give me some Dutch licorice and I will go nuts. THat is my other weakness. Well one of many. Dutch licorice is salted and very strong. Yum. Definitely an acquired taste.

NOW made me a pecan pie (since she was all that pleased with the chocolate pecan pie she made for Christmas. I liked them both, but the regular pecan pie was/is better. I'm sure it will be gone by today.

{{{Jelly}}}, Ditto:
From me to all of you:

Ganache Tart with Pecan Crust & Caramel Sauce

Caramel Sauce:
1/2 c unsalted butter
1 c sugar
1 c whip cream

Melt butter in heavy saucepan over med-low heat. Stir in sugar. Cook until spotted brown on surface and golden brown on bottom, swirling pan occasionally, 15-18 min, do not stir. Meanwhile, bring cream to simmer in saucepan. Remove caramel mixture from heat and gradually whisk in hot cream. Mixture will bubble vigorously. Return
caramel to heat and bring to a boil, whisking constantly. Transfer to a bowl and Cool.

Crust:
7 oz. pecans, finely chopped
1/2 c + 2 T sugar
3 1/2 T butter, melted

Combine pecans and sugar in medium bowl. Drizzle butter over and stir to blend. Firmly press into bottom and up the sides of 10 inch tart pan. Place on sheet and bake in 325 degree oven until light brown, about 20 min.

Ganache:
1 lb bittersweet chocolate or semisweet, chopped
2 c whip cream
1 egg yolk
12 whole pecans

Melt chocolate. Stir until smooth. Bring cream to a simmer in heavy saucepan over med heat.
Whisk yolk into warm chocolate. Gradually whisk in cream just until smooth. Strain into pecan crust. Refrigerate until set, about 4 hr.
Re-warm sauce if desired. Remove sides and arrange pecan halves around the edge of tart.

It is VERY rich. So, after I make it, I slice very thin wedges and freeze them individually and take them out when I have a craving. THe caramel sauce is a MUST. So I freeze the sauce in ice cube trays to put out 1 or 1 to heat and drizzle.
