RIF: Work is keeping me busy.

FAA: Canada cool. I visited there once when I was about 3-4. And all I remember is that the water was cold, my ball fell in and some kid threw a rock and hit me in the head.

Robby, thats a good question.

The biggest difference in pain is the lack of fear. I am not scared of losing my old Squid and my old life now, I have already lost them, and I have grieved their loss.

I have a new self-reliant life now and a sullied, damaged, broken Squid. Both are very new and I don't know if I like them yet.

I do not think the hurt is self inflicted as I suspect if I had divorced Squid I'd still be hurting over the same things about now, only worse as I wouldn't have my kids and familar things about me.

Also hope helps. In-affair hurt is desperate while recovery hurt is hopeful.

It still hurts bad, but the rules of my game are now fairer. Yours game is absolutely not fair

In defence of myself and others in recovery who moan from time to time, at each milestone your hopes and aspirations and EXPECTATIONS increase.

Five months ago I just wanted Squid to stop screwing OM at any price to me.
A month later I wanted NC to hold fast at any price to me.
A month later I wanted Squid to love me again.
A month later I wanted her to open up and discuss the thingswe ned to discuss.
Now I want Squid to recognise that her A was a horrible polluting thing not a love affair and I want her to take a bigger share on investment into recovery.

And I want each new thing just as earnestly as I simply wanted Squid back in my arms those 6 months ago.

Robbie its not NEARLY as hard for recoverers than it is for you, except we have the possibility of losing it all again.

And hurt still hurts. Hard.

That make any sense ?

F-Again, I've been to Canada, beautiful place.

Have I mentioned that this trip to Disney will be the first vacation in 12 years that we have taken without a fishing boat, hence the Canada trip.

Suess? The kids loved him when they were little.

Kimmy: Not sure if I told NOW or not. Alot of times, I'll clip and email her, but forget if I did in this case. In actuality, I made the card, I took the photo and I may have even addressed the envelope. She might have licked the stamp.

She's been busy with the basket shop. Thinking of shutting it down or moving it in a month or so. Ya know, Christmas rush is over and all. Today she is moving her car back into the garage. Yes, I got the shed done enough to move stuff into it without it mysteriously walking off.

Haven't posted here for ages. Feel far too serious at the moment to be an idiot. However, I am staggered at the pace of this thread. You might soon qualify for the Guinness Book of Records. If not, you all definitely qualify for a guinness. Cheers idiots. TT

Toot Toot.

TummyT, Hi there.

You know I think they shut another thread down that was quite long, due to how long it took to boot up.

Morning, Kimmy. Thanks for the reassurance re the Plan A. Today is my "WTH-am-I-doing-this-for?-Why-should-I-bother-with-Dork-when-things-are-getting-worse-not-better-Day." AKA Pity Party. Nuts!

I also have to call the military again this morning as I haven't heard a darn thing from their PA enabling chain of command.

And Hi to anyone else that I missed. It's dimentia setting in. That's what happens when you are as old as dirt!

Anyway, I am ready for my 12th cup of coffee before I go to work. Just black now. Too much milk is not good for me. But chocolate on the side, right Jelly?
