Your greetings just brought a sweet smile to my face after such a sad evening and even though this thread is for fun stuff, I'm going to let it all out here. My 9 yr old had a melt-down. She called me to her room and was lying on her bed crying and it went something like this,
"I'm so sad for all the Tsunami victims and all those children who lost their parents and I wish you were their mum because you're such a nice mum and even though daddy doesn't like you anymore, I do but we can never be a proper family without a daddy. And I don't want you to keep-fit because you're fine just like you are. And I know that daddy is living with someone else because I listened on the telephone. And I don't want to grow up because I'm scared the same thing might happen to me that daddy has done to you"
That was about it. Not an easy night. I promise to lighten up in future. (This was a child who had been told daddy was working away for a while. Kids are definitely not idiots). TT

AW: Might be tough getting those books out of DD's room, so you might have to just have her do the reading. Might be a good break for you

TT, that is tough. Poor little thing. She is for sure not an idiot. They see and hear so much more than we realize. {{{{TT}}}} We have told my boy nothing, but I wonder what he knows.

Now that it is out there, are you going to explain things???

AW, it was an important event to you. Did he realize this before and does he know? That way in the future he can be sure to make it to such things, so your feelings don't get hurt.

kyellow - well, hard as it was, we hugged and talked. I shut the door and let her talk and cry and I didn't tell her everything was going to be okay. She knew far more than I realised so I thought I would go with the flow. I reassured her that we both love her, that I am never going to leave her, that she should talk to me more and it's okay to be angry. I told her that I am angry at daddy but I still care about him and she said she's angry too and feels worse when she sees him. God bless all the children suffering their parents' infidelity. What innocent little victims. Makes me ashamed to be a grown up. TT

{{{TT & DD}}}}

Its what WS do to their kids that kills me. I mean Treereichs H has been SO sh1tty to their son it untrue. Now your WH and others....

Almighty God protect the little ones affected by infidelity with your angels. Keep safe and pure their trusting and fragile hearts and surround them with your love to make up for the missing love of the WS parent.

And deliver blessings in abundance to the children of FWS and FBS and their parents as they strive to surround their children in recovered love.

In faith I pray

Amen.

TT, sounds like you handeled that perfectly. I have tears coming down my face, thinking about the conversation I could have had with my boy. Telling him about my infedelity. Praise God, my H knew it would be the best thing to not do that. I was ready to have the talk with him. I'm very honest with my boy, I give him that respect of not hiding things from him. Maybe when he is a man, I will have that talk with him. Right now I will spare his sweet innocent heart. I'm sorry for your DD's pain.

AW, you are dealing with so much. One day at a time for sure in your case.

Bob Pure, has anybody told you today how darn sweet you are. What a blessing to this world you are.

Kyellow, I'm off to bed. Yes, it was gut-wrenchingly sad and I wish she'd been spared the pain. If you make it through this rollercoaster, why should your son ever have to know? Goodnight.

Jelly, I just had a thought. (Yeah, I know go ahead, I know you want to). But maybe your nickname has been leading your actions and thus the weight gain and the jelly arms.

Maybe you should change your nickname to rockhardabs or flattummy or something? hahaha
