I have 8 days in vegas next week on expenses. That means no SF. I can't wait ! I can rest and recover my kundalini !
Aw its bad to joke about SF on his board I know but it IS I'ville after all !
Bizarre, Squid and I are watching a thing called " wife swap" on TV. She's talking about them like we';re perfect and they're really screwed up. I dunno whether to laugh or cry !

Did I bore you all with my goofy, Liny-type jokes??
Jen, did you get busted???
What's for dinner everybody???? I'm starving.
Fish, rice and a salad for us.
I think I need to make some chocolate chip cookies for later, I'm sure I'll be hungry from such a skimpy meal.

Well * sigh * That 'wife swap' program led to a very deep discussion that led to Squid going to bed in tears despite my best efforts.
Good though I hope.
I had chance to run some fog babble by her which was the last info she gave me regarding her opinion of her affair.
* that OM was a better man than me in every way * That kids benefit from divorce as OM says it toughens them * that she had not even said the affaor was a bad thing nor that she regretted it or was sorry for it.
etc etc
Squid says " I shouldn;t have to tell you all that. You should KNOW how I feel."
I Say " But I need to hear you say some of that. I am not psychic, just like you told me a few months ago. I need to hear if you are sorry for your infidelity or not."
She said " you know I'm not the kind of person who can do that. I am a private person.".
I said " you're not the kind of person to have an affair either but all things are possible it seems. I ned to to help me with this to help us recovery . I have done SO MANY things which were against my instinct and personality to try to set our marriage back on a good course, can you not just talk to me ?".
I said I'd miss her and the kids in Vegas next week. She said she missed the kids when she went to Italy with OM in June last year.
I said " you KNOW you haven't said you missed me, right ? I KNEW the EA started there. Is that true ?"
She clammed up and sobbed quietly.
I hugged her said I loved and adored her but I needed to know her current attitude to the affair and to OM and me. I said while she was such a great Mom and good wife & friend to me she was in a safe place to admit anything. Only secrecy could be damaging to us.
She went to bed sobbing. I told her I was sorry that she was saddened by our discussion but that I love her dearly. I'll wait till she's asleep till I go to bed myself.
A much needed discussion but I DO hate dragging up uncomfortable memories and sensations for Squid. I need her to though. I NEED it. WE need it. I am proud of myself for not avoiding this conflict and for debating in a loving but insistent manner.
I love the girl though so very much. VERY much.
Tough night.
I love her enough to make her cry when its is required. You know how hard that is for a gallant man like me? I should have taken this approach years ago and there may not have been an affair.
Honesty, intimacy and love. I PRAY this works.
BTW I am MUCH happier. When I gave the example of babble about OM being a better man than me in every area she shouted " That's CR@P ! I would never have said that ! CR@P !! You only remember what you want to remember me saying. i would NEVER have said that !! ".
Now she DID say that BUT the fact that she so obviously disagrees with that statement now makes me very happy indeed. [ January 05, 2005, 04:43 PM: Message edited by: Bob Pure ]

Hi Kimmy !!!! Lovely to hear from you !
We had a LOVELY holiday thank you ! Lots of walking in Key West holding hands and playing with the kids together.
Nobody could have looked at us and said we weren't the perfect married couple !
A bit tough since we got back but nothing insurmountable.
I really am getting the hand of this recovery stuff now. just need Squid to grasp the nettle and we'll be cool !
You have a good Holidays darl' ?

Morning all. Bob - you just said "nothing insurmountable". That's much more like old Bob. .
I was thinking. I stayed on here (I'ville) till way past midnight my time. Yet when I checked in this morning and caught up, AW and Kiwi had both been posting and it's even later there. Do you both work shifts?
And Robby, I have another job next week - an exam invigilator. It is truly the most boring job in the world. You hand out the papers to the nervous students and then wander around aimlessly up and down the aisles. I do it at my daughter's high school twice a year for A'Levels. The most exciting thing that happens is when someone needs the toilet and you have to accompany them and wait outside! "Watching, waiting, it's painstaking Invigilating" These are the first two lines of a poem I wrote. Like I said, boring - but a bit of extra pocket money. TT

You OK Lah, Gwiloh TT ?
i LOVED my Time in singapore !
I'm worried about you TT, you;re so SAD these days. You are far too strong and lovely to be sad for that long and you know it !
I'm doing fine TT. I am starting to realize that Squid and I are sort of recovery litmus paper on here having doen soe well the MB in such a short time, and some folks are made uncomfortable by my posting anything negative.
In truth, this latest sad time was positive. It stirred me into action.
I love Squid to bits and I truly believe she does me too. We'll be OK. Its gonna be hard for Squid though.
Tell me the next three things you plan to do to make you a happy TT. ORDER !!

short break here, i managed to catch up, only have time to say 2 things...
bob - you are amazing, squid is very lucky. i'm sorry it was a tough night but you should be proud of yourself, keep it up, i just know it will eventually work. my H held on tight to me too, like you are, it took a while but we really are making good progress.
robby -
quote:
She stopped loving me LONG before I had an A. Unfortunately I chose to have an A instead of persuing D then.

i don't mean to be tough on you here but this is MB... don't you mean to say you choose to have an A instead of persuing the marriage issues and working them out, finding out what needs you were not meeting, etc. etc., and so i will say again... are you sure there is no hope, have you tried EVERYTHING. (how old are you again???) and don't everyone start joking about his age, i am seriously curious!!!!! of course, i know this is i'ville... back to lab for me now...

Yeah - ok lah! Sad kids make for a sad mum. Just feel like my sparkle is missing a bit. Still, my little girl made her own packed lunch and seemed a lot better this morning.
So - three things. It's my day off work - I do various jobs but the main one is working as a teaching assistant at my daughters' primary school 4 mornings a week. It's great cos I get the holidays. I also do a bit of private English tutoring to some chinese children. Also when it's exam time I do invigilating. The kids here have to take the exams at the same time as UK so they start about 4pm. I do bra-fitting (fitting - not modelling) I could have two heads for that one but as long as the boobs are the right size! People think it sounds glamorous but it's not. It is, however, well-paid but only do it for a total of about 20 days per yr. So, I'm a busy lady but am luckily around in the pm for homework etc. Well, that was too much information, wasn't it. 3 things - am meeting my mate today and going to Fa Yuen St which is full of factory outlets and I hope to pick up a few bargains. She's taking me out for a belated birthday lunch. My WH bought me vouchers for beauty treatments for Xmas at the Peninsula Hotel (HK's Raffles) so I will book something. And now I'm laughing because I think my day sounds quite fab. Lucky me.

Hey guys...just "woke up" I swear I can't get any rest or sleep...and brown has her IC tonight. Yes, I stayed home. Can't break this fever. Was sweating a bit bvefore, but feel like I'm boiling right now. Anyway...
Have a good nite all....finally started snowing again.
