I Love Rum. Spiced is one of my favourites! UH DUH married to a sailor! They don't give them the toddy anymore. BUt I have heard when they got their daily ration. Wasn't that long ago.
GC GIn and tonic? BLECH, I am not too choosy about liquor but gin is one thing that is icky to me. I've had aquavit, Ouzo, Sambucca, Tango Rose, and some red wine. (which I am allergic to) well still have it all and it will stay around forever. I have tangueray that some mistaken person got me. Huge bottle and never been touched. Want it GC?

Kiwi, Yes he was VERY surprised. All 5'9", 137 pounds of me going after 6'3" 240 pounds of him. He was just protecting himself. Good thing he is not a violent man becasue I could have gottenhurt easily. I was surprised at myself. I have NEVER hit anyone. ANd, the worst part? I wanted to keep doing it. I actually thought about the baseball bat in the car and got as far as opening the car to get it.
Yikes, only when I muttered "no, I won't do it" And WH said "GO ahead" (He couldn't see what I was reaching for) did I come to my senses. I have never been so angry and felt so justified because of what he did to DD. Only the thought of jail kept me sane. Sad, and I took the bat out of the car. NEVER want to get that close to violence again.

f-again, give me all the gin you got! I love the stuff.
When I order G&T in nice, clean bars, they always ask what kind of gin I want, and I steal a line from The Muppet Movie:
"Use your finest, cheapest gin, please."

GC, that was funny. Not QUITE as funny as LINY but funny.
F-Again, I just posted and it got lost but it'll probably turn up just after I posted this.
I've never been involved with or seen violence either. Rob (my H) is a very gentle non violent person but he still dreams of getting OM right on the nose.
Edited to add: Thank God you didn't get to the baseball bat. I mean that seriously - it would have taken everything to a whole new realm.

Was I dreaming or listening to the BBC when I heard a story about an amateur cricket team beating the most incredible, impossible-to-beat professional bunch of cricketers ever?
I think it was this week.
I think it actually worked its way into a dream about my wife. Wheeeeee.

Hi AW, the nightshift is lurking and not posting, cept for a couple of us. Pikers.
And now I have to go. Rob has been making noises about the time I spend on MB and he'll be home from work soon and I'd like to have dinner cooked and waiting for him for a change.

I have the day off tomorrow, and I'm rejoicing in not being head-in-my-hands depressed. I stay up!
AW, being where you're from...
They had some snow in Madison, Wisconsin, during the last day. And also, a kangaroo got loose. They found it cowering in some garage or something. Poor little mean kangaroo!

It was about 15 today and because it was sunny and not windy, it seemed nice.
If it was 60, I'd be doing the butterfly in Lake Harriet in a Speedo (my exercise plan for next summer - a.k.a. "freedom summer", assuming I'll be divorced by then).

Just had an idea...I'm asuming you didn't have the NYE party...BUT, what about a mid-winter party at your place? Might do you some good, as well would be a nice break for your guests to get out of the doldrums of winter. Just a thought...
Gotta go now. Try to get back to sleep. head still warm...I absolutely HATE being sick. RRRR!
Have a g'nite/day everyone!
