A Party? Yay, COunt me in, too! My DD25 is FORCING me out on Saturday night. To go dancing. I LOVE to dance. Well, I used to.

And my best friend is coming by tonight to make me eat and watch some dvds. If the snow lets up! Gee, I am greatful for friends and family who watch out for you. It is so nice to have someone watch your back in times like this.

Morning RIF. It's 2:47am Friday here. Almost time for my morning coffee.

There are some serious computer addictions going on here. What fun. I'm drinking Baileys tonight if anyone cares to pour me another.

Our children all went to school in casual clothes today instead of uniform but for the privilege had to pay whatever their families could afford towards Unicef's Tsunami fund. We raised HK$75,000 which is, I think, about US$11,000. We are just one little school in Hong Kong. Isn't that awesome? Just thought I'd share that with you all. TT

Morning/evening to you idiots, especially you Mayor Robby13.

GC, love the idea of a midwinter party. May be just the ticket to begin your "new" life.

I cannot keep up with you people these days. Boy a person tries to be responsible and work, take care of their families and they get behind. sigh..

I am too addicted to this place and have forced myself to stay away. I was thinking about Bob's remark yesterday about MB people, especially the Iville residents. I know I like you people. I know I would if I met you in person. He is right, it is hard to be this brutally honest and not show your true self. I moderate an email group for parents of kids like my DS. I have met 6 of them in person and love them like my family. We have shared so much pain and joy together that we consider ourselves family. That is how I feel about you idiots. Ok, stop being mushy Faith.

RIF, how is being the big cheese?

Morning Kimmy, how are you????

quote:
Hiya all. Still feeling blah. And, for the last time: I'M NOT F@#$ING CRANKY!

LOL

So N/S are you feeling green this morning??? Geez, ya drunks.

GC, Pine needles, YUCK!!! I just don't get it. I'm a beer drinking kind of girl all the way.

Hope everybody is well. I have a date with my ST tomorrow night, I'm very excited. No dancing for us, I'm too shy. Dinner without the children, and his charming company, can't wait.

It is 9:45, and I have done nothing yet, usually my day is done by this time. I think I will put it off even longer and go give my 3YO a ride on the snowmobile. Time to play.

RIGGIN FRIGGIN Computer! I had a huge note typed and then a window came up and I closed it. ARRGH It was this one.

So, morning RIF, TT and Kimmy. And lurkers. RIF I was up early but made myself go back to get a couple of more hours of sleep. SOmewhat successful. YAY!

Well, TT I might join you with a Bailey's tonight. Tommorow, DD25 is taking me out dancing! YAY! I love it.

I am way too old to do it. But WTH I am only mentally a young girl. It is very strange when DD25 and I dance together. She is drop dead gorgeous, and we dance so much alike we look like mirror images. We get some strange looks from the young pups, though. SHe always introduces me to her club friends as the coolest Mom in the world. How sweet is that? ANyway maybe DS27 and his girlfriend will be there, too. I need some release from all this drama.

Well, I am on my coffee and waiting on my bagel with cream cheese. YOHOO Mayor are you there? KNOCK KNOCK

FA-A, having kids as (I hate to say old) and feeling as young as you do, does it sometimes feel like they just came out of nowhere? Like they are alien creatures that you happen to love a lot? My DS 21 makes me feel that way sometimes. I think some of it is my mind is convinced I am much younger because of my DD12 and DS6. How could I have a child that is 21 with those 2 little ones? I also sometimes think it is because these days we do act much younger than our parents did. I don't know just rambling this morning I guess. Eat and get some sleep young lady! (in my best stern mommy voice)

Mornin all. Think I finally broke my fever. Still, very dizzy though. (Shaddup again.) Now, very chilly, but not feeling so run down. But still feelin like the neighborhood fire hydrant for the local dogs.

OK, maybe against TOS/guidelines/whatever, but is it me (which I actually have thought long about and certainly could be) or are more posters/threads getting more "ridiculuos?" It's actually an important question, cause I do not want to feel like I'm above it all again--don't want to go there. But some of this is just completely unbelieveable--in the literal sense.

Anyway, that was my mini-vent. This post has actually taken me about 30 mins to write, and in the meantime, feel like i"m burnin again. I hate this s@it!

Have a great weekend everyone.

Go back to bed Liny! Sorry you are still sick, I can't stand being sick and as a mom I would be up and doing my normal routine anyway. Yes, I agree with some of the posts out there. I choose not to respond to most and read incredulously.

Feel better. Did you get the chicken soup I sent you through the internet cloud?

{{{Morning FF}}} I have a very good relationship with all my kids. And yes, it is very weird with my older 2. I keep having to stop myself from thinking they are my good friends. I have to still be a Mom to them sometimes. DOes that make sense?

We always have such a good time together. And they are always there for me and I for them. THey confide in me things that they NEVER tell their Father. ANd, yes, I sometimes think where did those gorgeous creatures come from? WOW! Plus having a DD12, they are both brother and sister and father and mother and friends to her. Can't get any better.

Yes, I think this generation is much "younger" thinking than my parents. I always swore, I would never be like my mother and father. THey still have no clue what life is like today for me or for my kids. Everything is black and white and no what-ifs. And if you don't talk about it, it will go away. Sheesh! THat is so bogus!

ANd, I did get some sleep. And I am forcing myself to eat. I know I cannot afford to lose any more weight. Crumbs, I am hovering at 130 and I am TALL!

But, Jelly has given me the answer.... Chocolate! Lots of calories in that.

Think one of my sons signed for the fedex delivery and ate it themselves--ya know how brown and i are/ Starving them and all. God forbid they should get up off their asses and work for some food! (That was vent #2 and the day is so young!)

Reminds me of that song that's been out for a little bit by Bowling for Soup. Every line, I'm like, "Hey. Backoff buddy--that was me 20 years ago!"

I think the world went wacky and moved us to Seattle when we weren't looking. Rain again for next 4 days! Haven't they ever heard of the song It never Rains in Southern California?

Liny, I really have to thank you and Brown. Your sitch with your sons has made me so thankful for my DS21. He is a bit of a pain, but he really is a good kid. He is loving to his brother and sister, will jump if I need him and is gainfully employed and going to college. So he is a bit self centered, forgetful etc. Those are pretty normal for a 21 y/o.

Hey Fighting lady - enjoy your night out dancing. I love dancing. Had a couple of great nights out before Xmas but it's all gone sadly quiet. It is so good for the soul. TT

Poor Liny, still feverish. I'm sorry.

Haven't made it outside yet.

Yes, Faith, you have much to be jealous of. This 3 YO of mine, is such a joy, I can't stop smiling with him around. He is the funniest, happiest kid ever. I adore him, I could eat him with a fork, I find him so delicious.
