Hi again everyone,
Well, I needed to do something practical for my son as I can't make him feel any better so I drove him to his g/fs work, we picked her up, then I drove them to their other friend's place where they can all be together and work through it themselves in the best way they can.
Then I looked up the updated online version of our newspaper and wished I hadn't because there was the clinical, newspaper version of the accident.
Anyway, I'm fine, but it's horrible when this sort of thing happens and you can't do anything to "make it better". I tell you, your kids are your kids for life, doesn't matter how old they get.

Hey FAA - I don't really have any practical experience... I think that by notifying his C of C that you have a good chance of getting one of them reassigned, thus ending the opportunity for them to be together...

Kiwi, you are so right about children. I tell my kids all the time that they will always be my babies. Even when they are 103!

to make it worse my H is in a terrible mood, says he just feels really bad, physically. i would have to guess it is just about the drinking he did last night. i just wish when he felt bad he would let me comfort him. the best i could do for him was put a blanket on him and keep the house quite so he could nap. didn't really seem to help though. i'll try offering a back rub when he comes to bed and then just hope for a better tommorow.
jen, i am very sorry about the news. hugs to you and your family.

That could be worse book is awfully cute...my kids have it. It's kinda twisted though, all the things that happen to the Grandpa in that book LMAO
My WH called tonight to tell my DD10 goodnight (way earlier than bedtime cuz he's going out) I swear to you he calls me just to tell me he's going out....I just said "Tell your Dad I said 'Have fun and be careful'" Try to get a rise out of me will you....mwah ha ha it's not going to happen.

RIF, you must have missed my post about our terrible summer. LOL. Funnily enough today the sun was out and it got quite warm.
