Do people ever consider themselves 'recovered' or after an affair are people always 'in recovery'. Just wondered. TT

Just spoke to my mum. She always sounds like she's on the verge of tears whenever I speak to her. I think she feels so helpless because I live so far away. I love my mum dearly but she always manages to get me wound up. I feel like she doesn't want to talk about anything other than Peter's affair. A's have such terrible repercussions for the parents/grandparents too.

On a lighter note, last week my youngest twin let the cat out of the bag (in a very dramatic fashion) that she knew all about her dad's girlfriend. So I decided to have a heart to heart with her twin sister (who is my 'tricky' child) tonight. So we lay down on the bed.

Me: "How do you feel about daddy not living at home at the moment. Does it upset you at all" .

Twin: "Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't"

She then scrunched up her eyes and her face started to contort. I thought she was going to cry and said, "Oh I don't want to upset you. Are you going to cry?"

"No", she said, "I'm trying to hold back my fart".

What a star! TT

She's a little turd actually. Decided we'd have the serious talk another day! I couldn't stop smiling after she said that and it's still making me grin now!

Mornin' peeps!

You all make me smile! (And when I start the day pretty good like this--even with only 3 hours of sleep--I just wait for something bad to happen. It seems inevitable, the way our lives have gone the past few years.)

Tonight my D has a concert at school. And I won't be able to go. Mainly because of last week. <img border="0" alt="[Teary]" title="" src="graemlins/teary.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Embarrassed]" src="images/icons/blush.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="images/icons/frown.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[Teary]" title="" src="graemlins/teary.gif" />

We have always "just gotten by" in our years together. We want more. We should have more. We're both tired of struggling.

Well, it's really good to hear everyone "up" on the boards!

YL, we'll miss you lurking! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="images/icons/tongue.gif" /> (I didn't catch why? Is everything OK?) Hugs to ya hon.

Bob, I agree with de's analysis: DUH!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Robby sounds great...agree with all of the others (even though I've been a public servant for all of my life -3 years.)

Thanks ky--wish i could take credit for it! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="images/icons/cool.gif" />

And RIF:

(Your name has now been extended to G-RIF!--So don't be surprised if I just start calling you G!)

Bob! Damn, you've been up for a while this morn! (And isn't it funny? When you got your head on straight, knowin what you want, hope in your eyes, and the love of your life feelin' the same, THEN these women start coming out of the woodwork? Means you have the "aura" back--it's a great thing!)

And, it's amazing how an A effects both sides of the coin here: yeah, I'm sure you have noticed your peers' behaviour in the past, but it is so amplified now. I feel the same: like WTF? I guess it's a good thing--the senses are again in full swing.

Bob - stop looking at yourself in the mirror. Hey why don't you do something outrageous - like get a tattoo or wax or something. Give Squid a surprise when she next undresses you. By the way, you might have to go very easy on her with a kidney infection. Perhaps you'll have to take matters into hand!!
