As some of you may know, my WW has plans to go to Latin America as a part of a group to do surgery on poor children. It is an optional part of the residency she has. In fact, the "spark" between her and the OM started on a similar trip in October. The OM will be there again this time.

Her ticket were booked using my frequent flier miles, and I have since changed the pin code on my acct. so she has no access to it. I was seriously considering cancelling her ticket the day before, or the day of the flight. I want to keep them as far apart as possible. Then I think about it, and it would just pi$$ her off more, and drive her further into the OM's arms.

What do y'all think? Leave it alone, or screw up her trip?

TM,

They say here that you should not finance your WS affair. However I think it would unnecessarily cruel to just cancel her trip, especially the day of.

This is tough call, and I am not going to offer any advice because I really don't know, it being part of her residency.

Maybe the others have stronger opinions on this than I.

TM,

I would not wait until the day of and cancel her trip....however, I would confront her and tell her honestly how you feel. "W, I'm not comfortable knowing you're using my FF miles to the see the OM. Please make other arrangements."

I would cancil the ticket immediately. Why in the world would you enable your wife to be in another country together with the OM? It does not take a genius to figure out what they will be up to in their spare time. The program is optional. If she wants it so bad then let her pay for it. Allowing her to use use your frequent flyer miles to work and hook up with the OM is the height of lunancy. I wish you luck.

Do it today, and cheerfully let her know that you will be needing the miles for your winter trip to Hawaii or somewhere exotic. Tell her lovingly that you cannot support her affair and that she can imagine how it would feel to you to be paying for her to travel with another man. That is a real statement. Be nice when you write or say it.

TM,

I agree with the above posters. You have to calmly, quietly and respectfully let her know that if she no longer considers herself your W then it is only proper that she should get the OM to fund her flight.

hey there,
I am somewhat with star*fish on what she posted to you... I would confront the situation and if she cannot cancel, then I would certainly, out of principle, ask her to refund you for what the ticket is worth... CASH... I don't think there is anything wrong with making it sting a tiny bit <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/wink.gif" /> ...

Peace,
Odyssey
