1 hour and 15 minutes 'til the new year here in chilly (but not as cold as Binder's -4) Iowa!

My super-exciting New Year's Eve celebration has consisted of running around my house (kids are both out with friends) cleaning bathrooms. Woo-hoo!! I did cook myself a frozen mushroom quiche. It was so-so...

Got LOTS of ingredients to make yummy snacky thingies today but it's so late now that I think I'll just do them tomorrow. I can't top all that wonderful cooking Nikko did earlier, but I'm going to whip up some fresh salsa yet tonight so the flavors will be good and blended by tomorrow. Then, tomorrow,as I munch chips and salsa, I'm going to try out several appetizer recipes I saw that have a rather Asian flair.

For the remainder of tonight, once I get my master bath finished (taking a break while I bleach the caulking in the shower), I'm gonna' brew up a fresh coffee (and I wonder why I'm awake 'til 3am <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" /> ) with hazelnut syrup and maybe watch one of the many DVD's I've picked up over the last few months and not yet managed to watch.

I'll have my doggies kiss me at midnight to top of my celebration.

Have a great New Year everyone!!

LL

LL,

It's about 10 minutes to go for you I think. I'll pour a cup of coffee and we can toast the New Year!

Happy New Year central time (about 10 minutes ago)!!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" />

I'm on my 2nd cup of nighttime coffee and not feeling the least bit sleepy. (This is how I get my sleep schedule all screwed up when I'm on vacation for a week. Dreading going back to work on Monday!)

My doggies were still awake but curled up on the sofa and floor and weren't in the kissing me mood, I just gave them each a kiss, rubbed their tummies, and told them Happy New Year. They seemed appreciative.

Ho Hum... I missed the magic hour. And I never did eat the shrimp I bought either. Instead I spent about 2 hours on the phone with a good friend - we had talked about getting together but she worked until almost 9:00 and neither of us felt like going anywhere.

I love being "irresponsible" and not having to apologize for it!

Looking forward to a new and better year for us all.

Cheers!

Okay, so I didn't get a "HOT" date here in Houston. Oh well....I watched "Wicker Park" and got to stare at Josh Hartnet.....I guess that will have to do.

I was doing just fine all by myself, watching my movie. Then my WH called several times....maybe to see if I was at home or out partying. He upset me pretty bad. But I'm okay now....off to bed.

And Redhat, don't worry, I don't plan on getting into a serious R...I would just enjoy the company of the opposite sex again. Nothing wrong with that.

Happy New Year everyone.....God bless you all.

One of the MBer here had helped each other by becoming PIC (partner in crime). I have to find her replacement since she has found a boy freind.

LWH ... I am still awkae. I am a night owl <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" /> ... I still plan to pop in a DvD and a bag of popcorn <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="images/icons/tongue.gif" />

Hate Love, anytime. The pleasure is all mine & thanks for the Hawaiian dinner <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" /> .

Sorry I'm late checking in...

Just arrived at work after the celebration. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="images/icons/frown.gif" />

Wife and I met with a bunch of mutual friends and pub crawled until just after midnight. Grandparents took the little one. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" />

Spent a total of $16 on both of us! It's great when the Desig. Driver (me) gets free soda all night from the bars. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />

Anyway, I am working from 0400 - 1600 today, arrggh. I agree, Lordslady, it is a chilly one in Iowa compared to what we had earlier this week.

Happy New Year to all!!

So much for the shrimp and ahi I bought. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/wink.gif" /> Even got the ingredients for the cake....well almost. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/wink.gif" /> H asked how come I came home with a bottle of JD Kentucky Whiskey..... he bought my story that it was for those bourbon balls. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />

Then 2 of the 3 boys here got sick. Oh well.....been nursing 2 sickies and the firecrackers going on here like it is raining.... literally.

Hope you all made it home safe and sound.

Aloha,
L.

WW called me after the count down and she said she just want to say Happy New Year. And I told her the same thing Happy New Year then good bye thats all.

But w/o REDHAT I am probably drunk and wasted for new years day. I made it w/o ALCOHOL, and fell sleep around 3am. Tired from lifting weights from MIDNIGHT after count down to get out from thinking being alone.

WE ALL MADE IT folks to all, I can assure you WS year is over this is our year 2005, its getting better alone.
