I can't think of any just yet. <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" /> I just thought it might be helpful. <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />

Here's my first attempt to help out:

Dog Licking My Toes
Hole In My Shorts (and various other, um, embarrassing moments)
Leaky Tin Roof Sundae
Picasso Ain't Got No Science
Brazilians Don't Need Tans, Or Maybe They Do?
INXS Will Be Out of a Show Next Season

I need some rest.

BTW, I'm not making fun of the wonderful, heartfelt thoughts here. I really did want to help. I thought I might even pick one out and write something, but my mind is pretty blank just now.

I hope you can laugh with me.

Head Trap

The box is round
Not really round, more like rounded.
It's shaped like a melon...sort of.

There are these noodle-like corridors
Like a labyrinthine, surpentine trap

I stay there.
I come out to peek at the sky, the earth, the animals
...now and then.

Look at the people that I'm supposed to love
With all my heart and soul and mind
But I smile and re-retreat to that special grey-walled hall

It's not pretty, exciting, or even very comfortable.
I think something moves in it now and then
It kind of scares me, so I retreat a little further in
Moving toward I don't know what

I'm waiting for enough time to pass
Maybe like Rip Van Winkle, I'll come out
And things will be different

That would be a nightmare.

Hole In My Shorts (and various other, um, embarrassing moments)

There is a song called "Hole In My Shoe"

HOLE IN MY SHOE

I looked to the sky
Where an elephant's eye
Was looking at me
From a bubblegum tree
And all that I knew
The hole in my shoe
Was letting in water (letting in water)

I walked through a field
That just wasnt real
Where 100 tin soldiers
Would shoot at my shoulder
And all that I knew
The hole in my shoe
Was letting in water (letting in water)

(I climbed on the back of a giant albatross
Which flew through a crack in the cloud
To a place where happiness reigned all year round
Where music played ever so loudly)

I started to fall
And suddenly woke
And the dew on the grass
It stuck to my coat
And all that I knew
The hole in my shoe
Was letting in water (letting in water)

LOL, CC.

That's funny. <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

PS. I stayed awake all night thinking of lines and actually wrote another poem about some things swirling around in my head.

There may be some changes, but this is what I've got so far...

The More Dangerous One

Sitting...watching...maybe not...side glance...gotcha!
Or...not yet.

The One says, "So what do you do for sports?"
Mind my own half-pints and quartz.

Ignore. Ignore, the while.
Hi again. (Secret smile.)

I feel like inhalant flew up my nose.
Giggly, but not like Jiggly-Lo's.

But is that spark mere carpet ignition?
Mmm, the play. Where was the premonition?

What about the other one? GQ glue?
Yeah, I saw him comin', a furlong or two.

[Wedding Invitation Poem]

It was easy, the choice to marry each other,
While wary of the difficulties that may come.
We enter this union, throwing caution to the wind,
But our feet are steadfast to the ground.
We look to the future with insane abandon,
But we know it will take everything in us to stay together.
With fear and fury, wisdom and paradox,
We unify ourselves [for the time given us].

[before our family and friends
On Sunday, August twenty-second, at...]
